    SS18 Buka Puasa Stalls 2012

Just wondering where will the stalls be this year?

In the past few years, the stalls line one side of Persiaran Jenka But this year, with the MRT constructions going on there, Will it still be there?

To me it doesn't really matter where. I see "flies" swarming around the typically open food trays... I'm outta there! It may cost me more for some medical treatment.

These stalls are nonsense to road users, hazard to health and threat to hygiene..

    You miss them ??

Try speak to MPSJ to seek their help for these apanama stalls to open infront of your house or the road leading to your house…. !!

It doesnt makes any cow sense to have the stalls with proper hygiene and prepration in question in a dusty roads. Wonder why the proper shops were licenced , warned and summoned for all sort while these stalls are permitted to operate as such??? In the first place, the storage of the uncooked food is oredi cross contaminated wheree everything is put togehter in the same ice box and at wrong temperature....something all those food handlers were required to know when they tested for health courses ofr licence purpose. Or perhaps, how many these fellas have the licence or been vaccinated to handle food?

And worse, you either kenot park at your own house or have to endure smell which is offensive especially if you are smelling the bull burgers when you are a Hindu or Vegetarian? OR how would any muslim lhousehold like the feel the smelling bud of Bak Gua flowing freely right into the homes? Horrors of all horrors - imagine all those rubbish being thrown all over the places! No wonder the four legged friends also making a buffet date.

The worst is these fellas blocking the road even set up the stalls where it is not even gazetted....Some even erected permanent fixtures just 10 metres after the traffic light in Bandar Sri Damansara, some say Puchong, others say in Cheras too. They seems untouchable despite the publicity in the paper - and it is not just month long - it is year long!. Laws and regulations being broken in broad daylights and the health dept of various councils seems to be deaf or blind

I have to make 2 trips to Persiaran Jenka every week. So just need to plan my routes and timing so as not to get caught in the mad rush.

I reckon there'll be just as many...actually loads of people from all walks of life there, with complete disregard of any issues. Yet to see any of these places in the holy month of Ramadan void of people. People will happily buy, maybe some stomach problems occur now n then, coincidental or not, then accept it as one of life's many challenges. C'est La vie?

cest la vie indeed. Methink it is also not so 'appening & downright inappropriate, to pass negative comments on stall operators (many just do this once a year) trying to earn extra income.

if the food is perceived to be contaminated or even dirty, just walk away. Heck! dont eevn bother to go to this guaranteed to be congested area...AND note this, in many ramadhan stall areas, up to 50% of the crowd there are not even muslim! These non-puasa folks are just: OK, pick one
~ enthusiatic to try new food/flavor
~ psych into a herd mentality to just buy buy buy, with eyes more hungry than tummy
~ or plain rich hungry ghost...

Same mental 'appening in 5*hotel buka posa buffet...and worst part,in a mosaic society, downright insensitive when such hungry ghosts just merrily and slurpilly wolfing down their heap of chup-fun style food, BEFORE the azan amidst many still fasting muslims seated down patiently, awaiting for the call...*Xmalu*

    but i digress...mea culpa.

If one isn't careful nor prudent, the month of Ramadan may incur more expenditure than most other months, just on FOOD!.. not including any Raya celebrations budget. A few tasty dishes and kueh can easily set you back RM12 onwards nowadays, not to mention outside food prices have risen to quite a percentage.
Do your own arithmetic. OK, ultimately up to you...your money your liberty to spend as you please.

Everyone has the freedom to fast, and to wait for the moment to open fast

Similarly, others have the freedom not to fast, and not to be bother by those who are fasting…

    Nothing impolite, nothing religiously insensitive…

It is no different with your single malt (an ultra-sensitive drinks, I suppose) to be freely sold and consume in the plane with someone sitting next to you who never taste that drink in his/her entire life..

And in many occasions, those eye candies who pass me the catalogue of such sensitive drinks never blink an eye that it is something sensitive to them.

Please, do not impose unnecessary “sensitivity” in this free world..

Unlicensed taxi sapu also wanna just earn a living…

Pirated DVD sellers also wanna just earn a living…

Foreign prostitutes also just wanna earn a living..

    etc, etc. etc.

Hence, I think all the above should be allowed as they all just wanna earn extra income just like those apanama stalls during a specific month !!

hahahah! Agree with you there. Its a case of intepretation and a dose of selective sensitivity. Akin to polishing &scaling prod by my gentle dentist! ...

Yes, I too have had juicy, tasty & suparomatic Bakuteh with muslims sitting on same table with me..and the ever present single malt, as accompanying chasers too. these friends of mine dont mind...

heck! there was even a case where crispy siew-yok bits were gently forked aside, so that the crunchy stir-fried kai-lan vege can be enjoyed!

But gorging 1face during posa month in public places? Its kinda like 1aging tupai fully clothed in a trendy 20-30s only, nudist camp! *i wish* Outta place lah bro.

Fasting is a test of faith and endurance.

Holy example - when Gautama was fasting under the tree with all temptations awaiting

Endurance example - when my brother female doggie refused to eat for a week despite being fed with goodies when he go overseas.

Bro, you know my point lah..

Regardless of licensed or unlicensed.. it should not have different sets of rules because of the reasons the council see fit !!

I am damn mad each Sunday morning when I drive pass the stretch in front of StanChart when the apanama pasar pagi is allowed..

Well, I live in a pigeon hole, well-protected from all these outside nonsense of apanama stalls but the point is --> why always different sets of blardy rules..
