Well, don't be surprise to find out those who complain non-stop about hill development and soil erosion are actually architect, building engineer, contractor, property developer, senior guys in property company, etc, etc who are directly responsible for another hill project elsewhere…
So, as far as those shits are not in my backyard.. lets build them and earn a good living !!![]()

A good government would not repudiate decisions made by the previous government. This is what the current Penang State Government is doing, honouring past misdeeds to their own detriment. Those in the know would not blame them at all.
One must realise the power of the MSM to spin negative news about anyone not aligned to the powers-that-be.
Note:
Remember Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hongkong? The British hastily planned, approved and awarded the multi-billion dollar project to themselves just prior to handing Hongkong back the the Chinese in 1997. One big last supper, no?
Deng Xiaoping could have told the Brits to f.o.. but it wouldn't do the country's reputation any good. It would be bad advertisement as far as attracting FDi is concerned.

"One man's running dog is another man's lapdog, but still a dog."
In today's Sun pg 8, Penang has asked the Fed for letters of indemnity so that it can revoke planning permission for hillslope projects in the state. LGE was quoted as saying "We want to know if the Fed gov would guarantee the cost if we cancel any projects approved (by the previous admin)".
It seems that some 37 hillslope projects were approved between 1985 and 2008, before PR took over the state in 2008! Adoi !!
