They did try to push up the tin prices years ago to corner the market but was blown to pieces when the world market players outplayed them.

Did you notice that the whole index fell albeit slightly because everything would be done to ensure that the fgv price stays up at the expense of everything else.

As long as "public funds" are not being used to "prop up" the price, I hope it goes to RM10! But having worked in the stockbroking industry before, I have seen many ways the invisible hands are used to prop prices and index.

From the right to the left hand. if you are caught for insider trading or market manupulation, you be cuffed like Martha Stewarts in NYSE for Imclone and send to do cooking in the jail. In KLSE, you dont see any one being caught for all kinds of trading.

Perhaps time to adjust the *weightage* of the KLSE some time in the near future...just a thought

The klci is skewed very heavily towards the glcs and basically it is a managed scenario. so our index is proped by by all the pension funds.

As an investor, I don’t blardy care what they do in KLSE as far as it brings profit to me…

For those who are interested in mega IPO, it is pure luck if you are not the chosen one..!!

And it is incredibly lucky if you are buying less than 10 lots..

Statistically, individual investor (non-bumi) has about 14% of success rate if you buy more than 100 lots, and about 2% of success rate if you are buying less than 10 lots.

If you are the lucky one, sell the IPO shares within 1 month and don’t look back..
