From BR!M now showing 1Taxi where ah Jib Gor is dishing out Rm35,000,000.00 to taxi where they are given various incentivse from tyres to rebates.

Great...I wonder which tyre company will benefit from the subsidy. All of a sudden, the tyre company, if chosen as the panel of supplier, will receive lots of business suddenly. Time to open a tyre shop. And pity us poor taxpayers as part of our tax money will go and subsidy these taxi drivers, and worst still, it also goes to the rent seeker companies who rent these taxis out!!! What a double whammy!!! Isn't our PM great!!!

I just found out the best part.... the moment the announcements was made, the tyre shops bumped up their tyres prices... so for us that DO NOT HAVE tyre rebates, we just got screwed (again!).

My guess is that it will be the nobody (in their right mind) wants SIME TYRES ... I had two of them BLOWN-OUT (yup, not puncture, but blown-out !! ) while travelling on KL-Seremban back in 2003-4 that I swear never to buy them again.

No more sime tyres now. It has been bought over by continental. I think the continental tyres should be better . Anyway they will probably buy some cheapo tyres for them and bill the gomen for a bomb.

Same as me. I bought 4 new tires and one blown out in less than a month. I took it to their factory but they disclaimed any responsibility. That was around 1993. No Sime tires for me after that.

Not only that, with all the 1GiveMoneyToGetSupport schemes, what about us taxpayers? Afterall we are the ones footing the bill, so how about giving something back to us taxpayers? I tell you what, AhCheapKor...how about giving us a 1YearTaxFree scheme to us poor souls. If not because of us taxpayers, you would not be having all the 1WhatHaveYou programs and taking the credit for yourself. So what say you, 1AlCheapo?

Its outright bribery! Maybe those taxi driver have forgotten who they have been paying their 'rental' of their taxis to all these years for the use of their license. If a few tyres could buy their loyalty and their vote, they deserve to slog the rest of their days as a slave to the licence holders. The promise of giving them their own license would mean that there would be double the amount of taxis on the roads for their place would simply be taken over by the instant citizens.To be given a licence with half the means to earn a decent living, well if they can accept that they would accept anything.

So all these 1Apanama would soon to be extended to 1Penjaja Ikan to 1Penjaja Lembu coming soon to the place near you while law and order in terms of security been compromised by rising index of crimes.
