This is what is known as "shooting the messenger" ... happens all the time on the forum (and other forums in general). Thankless people we have to deal with all the time... always eager to shoot from the hip.

I have had been shoot countless times as a messenger. And I am grateful to be shot at times with new info or advice as I gets more than I bargain for. In fact, that is the reason why I share my concerns and postings.

In the case of Patrick been bashed for not doing more than he should, IMHO, it is right for Rhiga to suggest to him to do the right thingy. - Stand up to complain, otherwise, we have to check and resubmit our nomination forms. Just imagine the hassle or nightmares if something happens. If there is no nomination, monies in the KWSP would be going to the Gomen Treasury. Worse, if there is identity theft, the monies meant for the spouse, could go to somebody else!

Nevertheless, I am going to the KWSP to check my nomination and PHOTOSTAT THE DAMN DOCUMENT AS EXTRA PRECAUTION AND EVIDENCE TO SAFE GUARD MY INTENDED NOMINEE.

There is already two cases in usj.com where KWSP nominations go missing. Better act as the officers kenot offer any explanation how and why, before it goes into MIA when your nominee makes withdrawal claims. Just imagine if the officers were to ask the dead KWSP member to resubmit the forms for the nominees

Two of my friends went down to EPF recently to check after they were alerted on our experience. And sure enough, both their nominations were missing too. I guess I have made my point....and I am getting out of here! Btw, to make a new nomination, you need someone to be witness. If you are alone and dont have a friend with you, go to the mini market/photostat station and the lady there will be witness to your thumbprint for RM2. Ok...bye.

I wonder if upon death, and we discover that to our horrors, the nominees are missing, would a will be sufficient to take over the EPF money?

Nope. the beneficiaries have to be nomimated to EPF.

I went to epf branch in Puchong yesterday to check my nomination..

My nomination record is still there…
I did it on 2007, not sure whether this is the reason it is not affected.

Btw, the epf Puchong is good – plenty of car park, free summore and no crowd.
It took less than 10 minutes from taking queue number until I get the latest printout of the nomination record..

I checked mine last Thursday at EPF Jln Gasing PJ. Got my things done including checking the nomination. Nothings changed since I last changed the nomination in 1990.
Was a good day seeing just a reasonable crowd since perhaps many people still on holiday. Got all mine done within 5 mins after waiting in que for about 10 minutes. Don't have to fill any forms for my purpose..just my thumbprint and MyKad.
