Tiger Woods equals Jack Nicklaus's' record

Tiger Woods managed to produce some magic to win the Memorial Tournament and add a second title for the year. Woods's (lucky?) chip-in on the short 16th was the decisive moment in his victory to equal Jack Nicklaus's total of 73 PGA Tour titles. In the same tournament Rory McIlroy missed the cut. Can Tiger maintain his form in the coming US Open? It shows that sports requires more than skills. It needs mental strength to succeed. Tiger had that mental strength before his failed marriage let him down. He also had his share of injuries. If he makes a comeback it will be the most inspiring story in golf, although his personal life is not that inspiring.

His failed marriage did not let him down, he let his marriage down...

Why can't we see a person's strengths and ignore the weaknesses? John F Kennedy and later William J Clinton, weren't they great presidents? apart from their extramarital rendezvous?

IMMORALITY comes with price. Cant make it looks goods or be ignored .

IMMORALITY is not a weakness . Its is a burning desire to do universal wrong .

When you said why cant we see his strenght and ignore his weakness ? Do you realised how much damage he has done on aspiring young sport people in the US. ?

Kennedy & Clinton great president ? ..nah. ..

Immorality is very relative. What is immoral to an individual may be perfectly moral to another. For instance, many people practice back-stabbing and dirty politics at the office. They see it as part of the job, and they are the ones who get ahead of their peers, even though the management is fully aware of the situation.

Coming to Tiger's immorality issue.. See.. he had to pay USD750million to his ex-wife, whom we doubt if she would give him a second look if he was not a great golfer and only earning $5-an-hour at Walmart. When she pocketed that money, is it immoral? She probably bated her time, and cashed in on her investment at the right moment. If she had any morals at all, she would have turned down every cent.

Back to our Tiger.. we should applaud him for his "recovery" from the slums. Many do not realize his problems started after he had Lasik surgery. Maybe there was some distortion to his normal field of vision, and his shots started to go haywire. His injuries were probably related to overcompensating his regular swing to attempt to find back the right rhythm.

Now, if only someone can give me a word for "burning desire to do universal wrong"...

'back stabbing a spouse ' and 'bad stabbing' a collegue is quite different whereas the latter is truly subjective .Fully agreed with you in that case but not if you have matrimony contract .It is straight forward 'langgar udang udang' .!

Office politics ,stabbing, kaki bodek , sell body what have you...to get to the top ..different lah bro. though I dont think it is ethical way of conducting oneself in an office or in the corporate world. Dont forget some Co. or Bosses is of 'tiada std type ' that have structure that allows such things to happen in the first place ..

Not all Co. and Bosses are like what you says...

By the way ...settling a divorce with money cannot necessary relieve the other spouse the pain and suffering ..or facing dashed hope after planning for so long or something like that....and dont even mentioned the greatest victim of all -The Children .!

Tiger is an AS@ hole as far as I am concerned.

I happened to look through my marriage certificate recently.. strange enough, can't find any of the clauses of prohibition. Maybe some should be included as a reminder of what we can do, and what we can't do.. after all, infidelity is not only confined to physical means.. the worst form of infidelity is the INFIDELITY OF THE HEART.

Some of the possible inclusions may be:

    1. Kenot have sex with any other person, male or female, or anywhere in-between, or any other species, dead or living
    2. Kenot think of having sex as in (1)
    3. Kenot touch any other person as in (1) if there is any intention that it may lead to the pitfalls of (1)
    4. Kenot look at any other person as in (1) if there is any intention that it may lead to the pitfalls of (1)

it may sound absurd, but wife actually insists on (4)

    what may sound absurd:

    5. Mandatory castration after achieving the agreed number of offsprings.. wonder if that is too high a price to pay to achieve the status of "sports legend"
