Now new ultra laptops are called "phablets".....a hybrid of laptop and tablet. It uses touch technology for its screen navigation. It has a keyboard for business work. Its screen size is generally about 5-7in....comes with a virtual keyboard..
With the launch of Windows 8, the computing world is going through an exciting, competitive technological phase. Because MS products are more to business/home work, hence the need for a physical keyboard. Interesting to see the reviews of Windows 8 on these new devices...
Even Intel is playing catchup in emerging chips technology. We now have a new player , ARM, in this field. It is a leading embedded chips manufacturer for digital smartphones and tablets.
So your present laptop may be seeing its better days soon....
- Invest in a hybrid device....one with keyboard and a touchscreen. For usb connectivity, Android, Windows and Linux devices are the preferred choices.
Wait awhile for these new devices to come to market and evaluate/learn about them...
Cheers!
