    USJ 6 LRT Memorandum

The residents had a meeting tonight and were briefed by Encik Sairin on the meeting to be held with Prasarana and YB Hannah Yeoh tomorrow night at MPSJ

A memorandum will be submitted tomorrow by the committee. Please download and print for yourself a copy. Please bring it along for the meeting. The memorandum can be downloaded at this link: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4r...S0dRMFRyc1loQQ

I was shocked to learn that the station is going to be very big .. about as high as a 9-storey building. Apparently it is going to be the interchange with the line connecting to Sunway.

The committee is requesting a down-sizing of the station as well as the building of a wall for security. There will be a power sub-station located at the playing field in USJ 6. Details tomorrow. Please be present tomorrow to show your support.

I got back from KL at 5.30pm. Traffic was reasonably light. I think it only got bad after 6pm.

From the Puchong Barat toll to USJ took me almost 2 hours and could not make it yesterday night. Will be there tonight. A big thank you to my fellow residents of USJ 6 for this initiative.

It was a wonderful briefing and meeting last night and YB has given 2 weeks for Prasarana, MPSJ and other parties two weeks to prepare for the next meeting.
    Besitai was there as usual!
Hope the protem committee of USJ 6/6 keep us informed of improvements and developments.
Hope other residents will provide the eyes and ears to the commiittee for them to perform their probono jobs to everyone's satisfaction.

Meeting on 10 April 2012 in MPSJ

The meeting between the residents of USJ 6 and Prasarana officials was held last night at MPSJ in the Kenanga Hall, Level 1. YB Hannah Yeoh was at the meeting.

The points of the first memorandum and an additional one were discussed and Prasarana has agreed to act on most of the points raised. The residents' representatives did not accept the size of station 8 and want it to be downsized. They also did not agree on the play ground between USJ 6/6F and 6/6D to be used for the construction of a power sub station.

The play ground between Jalan USJ 6/6F and Jalan 6/6D

Among the things Prasarana has agree to:

    1. Build a wall along the road near station 8. The design of the type of wall is to be submitted to the committee. A chain-linked fence is not acceptable.
    2. Yellow line to be drawn along Jalan 6/7 and MPSJ to take action against illegal parking.
    3. No workers are allowed to stay on the site
    4. Heavy lorries not allowed to use the inner roads for the safety of residents
    5. Relocate the proposed motorcycle park along Jalan 6/7
    6. Place banners near the site and provide handphone numbers whereby Prasarana can be reached quickly.

Next meeting to be held about two weeks' time.

Apparently, just a romour. When asked, Prasarana said there is no truth to the rumour. Apologies.

    Flood preventive measures

Prasarana has also agree during the meeting on Tuesday night that they will ensure that the drains are clear and there is proper drainage to prevent flooding in USJ 6. With the amount of digging and construstion materials and debris lying around, all that is needed is a thunderstorm and you can imagine the result.

A big thank you to the committee for arranging the meeting last night. Just saw this morning, there is a big hole complete with piling at the inter junction between USJ 6/5 and USJ 6/7. I am suspecting that this is the culvert for the cables to the power stations. Any information from others?

    This is the place

That is for the water pipe crossing through kewajipan road. They relocate water piping and 33kv line from USJ7 and 8 to USJ6.

Apparently Putra Heights residents have issues with the station slotted to be built in their area. Read the earlier blog (2009) posting http://saphlrttaskforce.blogspot.com/ and the Malay Mail story http://www.mmail.com.my/story/lrt-ex...ns-more-delays

While we sympathise with them, our Chairman has reminded residents of USJ 6 to remain civil in our negotiation with Prasarana so that it is a win-win situation for everyone. We should refrain from aggressive or other forms of confrontation which will not benefit anyone.
