Subang Jaya to Federal Highway exit.

What is going on?

First they convert a nice peaceful housing estate into a Highway intersection. (NPE)

Now they cap the exit. What is happening?

Subang Jaya is supposely be the sub urban where home owners enjoy the greens envioronment for staying with thier family as home sweet home. But with the developement from the massive complexes from SJ to USJ, it is instead turning into a cityship where it is emerged with jams and pollution which is too close for comfort. Just imagine especially during peak hours, the residents are breathing carbon monoxide fumes from the traffic jams!

It is crazy to limit the exit to single lane.

It's sheer madness! Traffic chaos doubled in intensity!!

It all started with the stoo-pid new Shell station at the exit. Blocked one lane already. Then this stoo-pid MHA built this stoo-pid divider so that cars from Shah Alam can have 4 lanes all to themselves while all cars from Subang/USJ can share one lane. This stoo-pid MHA created hell lots of problems to all Subang Jaya/USJ residents. I urge our Hannah and residents of Subang Jaya/USJ start a campaign to ask stoo-pid MHA to break down the divider and direct this stoo-pid Shell station to compensate all Subang Jaya/USJ residents for all the troubles they caused to all Subang Jaya/USJ residents. Siapa sokong?

So glad this is highlighted by Hannah Yeoh. Used to be able to leave at 8am, then 7:45am and now 7:30am to drive a distance that would normally take just 20mins, but now even leaving at 7:30am on Mondays take 1hr 15mins.

The divider caused a bottleneck, then traffic police had to be despatched to "control". That means stopping the entire traffic on the highway, i mean all the 4 lanes , to let the joining traffic from the Mesiniaga flyover to pass. That is absurd ! It is like putting traffic lights smack in the middle of the highway.

I wonder what was the intention .. More suffering for sj/USJ drivers and more resources used.

The roots of the problem probably lies on the heads of MPSJ where route planning and building zoning is done with fears and favors.

Just out of curiosity, why is it that this takes so many days to highlight this? I saw the change on Sunday but as I do not travel into Kuala Lumpur, This do not have any affect on me.

I was stuck in the jam at the exit last Saturday 1.30pm when Federal Highway was free flowing. I could not imaging the traffic mess on a working day.

Do note Federal Highway will be close during this period...The stretch — which is near Subang Parade — will be shut to traffic every 15 minutes between 12.01am and 4.30am on April 2, 9, 10, 17 and May 6.

MHA..very snobbish group of people. In my first encounter with them, many many winters ago, They mention this in a meeting, "We can build highways anywhere without the need to seek approvals".

Even if they are not snobbish group, think it's time we stage a protest along that part of the Federal Highway and make the message clear to the authorities, MHA, our Malaysian Highway Authority... (or is it Make Hell Authority?)

Approving a shell station right in front of an exit with hundreds if not thousands of vehicles pouring out into it everyday and every morning... is ridiculous not to mention bad planning... which urban planning school teaches that kind of planning, may I know???
