I think it's high time Carrefour limit it's parking space for it's customers.

I know for the fact that there are ppl taking advantage of the 'free' parking in Carrefour altho it's an attaction to shop there. KTM riders park there, and soon LRT riders too. Subang Parade or even Subang Avenue clients/tenants too.

3hrs free parking for customers who spend RM30 might be a bit stiff on shoppers who might just buy a small amount and be gone. Perhaps a graduated scale like free parking for the 1st half-hour followed by free parking for 1st hr if spend above RM10, 2nd hr free if spend above RM20, 3rd hr free if shop above RM30 might be more justifiable and attractive to customers. Better still, introduce a loyalty membership card for deducting from accumulated points for/from shopping there and implement a points usage for parking only within 7days of accumulation.

This way, it won't impact very much on parkers who might be regular shoppers at CF, while maintaining a healthy clientele, rewarded with some parking 'perks' for shopping there. As for tenants, CF can always offer them in incentive scheme by participating in the free parking for tenants and clients if purchases are made in their shop.

    Thanks for the update

Since I always do my shopping on Fridays and due to the mega traffic jam near C4 and the mosque, I guess the extra park charge is just ENOUGH to push me all the way to Sunway Pyramid !!

Bye, bye C4 , nice knowing you !!

I think it is a good move. Hopefully easier to get parking space there now. I shop at CF and sometimes it is difficult to get parking space. RM 30 doesn't buy u much groceries nowadays so I think it's fair.

If you are a member of celebrity fitness in subang parade, then ask for a stamp on the subang parade parking ticket, you will only need to pay Rm 3 for whole day parking.

I fully support Carrefour's decison. Users-pay-system is the best in the allocation of finite resources.

Carrefour in USJ20 Digital Mall is charging RM2 per entry. No free parking for shopping in Carrefour. Good about this is plenty of parking.

One reason can be due to double parking.

Unfortunately however, if CF implements the charges for CF frequent customers, they might loose them soon to those hypermarts lurking around ready to fish them out of CF anytime soon. The thot of paying for parking at CF might just turn out to be giving it a miss. If implemented correctly, it may yield an optimum result in their favour.

With this implementation, how will it affect your business if you have a shop there?
Do u think business as usual?

Thats a good suggestion, you should write in the suggestion to C4 management; who knows; they might buy in the idea. Initially my thought as well, about the RM1 parking; because normally I spend 3 hrs shopping there (once a month) definitely shopping cost is more than RM600.

But if the 1st 3hrs is free for more than RM30; then I guess most of the shoppers wont be impacted.
