    Not so noticeable
that's the idea, there are more uses of a fisheye that just for it's fishy effects

Somehow I feel dizzy looking at the pictures. Is that the intended effect? Maybe I can use it on the girls.

Panning isnt easy esp when trying to get the subject in sharp focus. Chua, u try it out and see.. it's quite an interesting step to learn. The idea is to follow your subject and give the effect of speed.

Ya, I know that but using a fisheye lens like that really needs skill especially for a camera like mine because I do not have auto control at all. That is one of the setbacks of the Bower lens.

yeap, the subject is moving when we do panning. the focus is locked on the subject.

ya that's the effects from panning. only the subject in focus is sharp while the rest are blurred.

haha,, Naka, i was waiting for u to say that. Did u take your camera OFF auto-mode? It cannot be done if it is done on full Auto mode on any camera coz your camera is automatically trying to take a sharp photo. The shutter speed should not be allowed to be on auto, coz u want a longer shutter exposure while u drag the cam to follow your subject. This means you need to also adjust your F/stop and ISO to compensate for the slow shutter.
There are some tutorials on how to do it.. i kinda just found one randomly for u. He seems easy enough to understand. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzQacE8z1T0

Hahah.. finally one thing your cam doesnt hv .. a panning preset. hahahah.. Phew! I wont hv to pengsan. Anyway, hv fun trying out panning photography.

brader, change to Shutter Priority mode and set the AF Mode to Tracking. how fast the shutter or rather how slow depends on the speed of the subject. if you want to pan cars on the road, may be start with 1/80s. assuming the car is coming from your right. with your body perpendicular to the road, turn your upper body to the right, slightly. as the car approaches, half press the shutter button and then turn your upper body following the car while maintaining the AF point on the car. fully press the shutter button when you feel you got the compo. continue turning your upper body even after the shot just like in golf. since you are a golf master, panning should be a piece of cake

M9. panned someone walking at 1/30s. his pace was a bit too slow for 1/30s, so the background isn't as blur. may be better with 1/15s. wished i had a speedlight with me
