    Consequence of Not Lodging Police Report on Theft Incident

    2 Chinese guys who were in the midst of breaking into a luxury car in USJ2 or 3 (sorry, I forgot where it was) early morning. However, the owner of the car decided not to lodge a police report. As such, the 2 robbers were eventually released.

    When the owner didn't lodge a police report, the 2 robbers got off scott free, although captured! They will be back to find other victims! Isn't this preposterous? I hope more of us will lodge police reports over any robbery, theft or break-in incidents. The crime rate statistics is showing a decline as many are not lodging police reports. Yet, we are all living in fear of poor security and safety in our surrounding SJ & USJ.

    Yup, it is important to lodge a formal report with the law-enforcer

    Can I ask you a question - Did your sister’s friend who was physically bullied by a middle-easter fella lodge a police report ?? And did you advise her to make a police report ??

    Your posted this incident last year and there were a lot of feedback and comments from forummers.. !!

    If you have made police report at the police station before, you probably would think twice before lodging a report on something near-miss (as what you described above). The process is too tedious and lengthy. You will easily waste 1 to 2 hours do make a report. I think the owner of the car decided not to lodge any police report since his car hasn't broken in.

    Yes, it can be a hassle to make a ploice report atp a police station. It is time consuming as well as a lot of waiting time involved, especially if the IO is not around at the station. That's why the car owner decided not to make a police report I suppose. But then with no report lodged the police will simply throw back the culprits onto the street for them to roam around to undertake new 'business'. Sad situation really!

    Not long ago, a friend spent 4hrs at Brickfield balai, after he apprehended a pick pocket at Sentral lrt/ktm station...he didnt lose anything either and he was doing a citizen arrest...AND get this. It was a friday evening and he could have been out partying!

    Imagine this bo-chup seow scenario:
    Crime in USJ happened 2times a day. 1 case was not reported for whatever the reason (small lo$$/too much trouble/no point/blahblah) and 1 was reported with much hassles (?).

    As far as PDRM balai KPI/NKR or whatever acronym they are calling it...the crime rate is only 365 cases per year in an area size of USJ. Very low % like spore/nippon/gua musang/buckingham palace. Q.E.D.

    So, go live in fear and dont bother to do anything to help rectify things, cos it too much of a hassle...*yawn*

    So for those bochupseows, if by stroke of good luck, kena whatever crime, best just SHADDUP and dont bother posting about crime here there or anywhere lah...

    My sister's friend did lodge a police report on that incident. After that she left for overseas. She was back for vacation when the incident happened. We don't know what happened after that.

    to my horror,

    my shoe cabinet (which was outside) was ransacked by these rascals thief/thieves this morning. I guess they climbed the gate.
    I am definitely gong to report this, and am gong out to pasar malam looking for
    1. Adidas Goodyear - Black color - size 8.5
    2. Fila - black - 8.5
    3. My custom made black cheap office shoes - 8.5
    4. My daughter's adidas jogging shoes - white and green - 6.0

    uhuhuhuhu... now all shoes must be kept in the house.. not safe any more...

    A theif climb over my gate and took two working shoe that cost less than RM70 each. He left behind an original Crocs Shoe worth Rm230 behind

    Maybe he sees the Crocs shoe is old and do not want to bother
