    1977 Ipoh Chicken Rice, USJ 9

    I was there recently. Two words. No kick. Even the soup tasted somewhat bland.

    They have a urmm..."no-holds-barred" (hahaha) branch in SS15 where the food is certainly better, IMHO.

    Was there sometime ago. I found the taste lacking. Could it be because it's a halal restaurant?

    It has been a while since I went to the SS15 outlet, especially after I've developed a loving bond with Restaurant Kah Heong @ SS14 , When ordering pork dishes here, its so much tastier & serves bigger portion than Ipoh Chicken rice outlets.

    I am one of those behind this branding "1977 chicken rice" but trust me it is halal (from International halal)what you expect?It caters mainly for multi racial.
