RP - such pretty flowers... can they be dried and kept as potpourri? Will it still retain its fragrance when dry?

Naka.. i wonder if you can get the Pineapple Guava plant in your area. Seems it is quite suitable for our kind of weather, and it grows kinda like a shrub if u keep trimming after it is done fruiting. The fruit is supposedly quite nice. It was recommended by an expert who encourages "edible garden". This pineapple guava can be planted as a fence if u plant a few of them closely together to make it more dense.

LoL, the Bunga Kerak Nasi blooms do retain their fragrance when dried. They dry very fast, usually the next day after they are plucked. I use the flowers in my bunga rampai (fresh potpourri) that I use as offering on my altar. Very sweet fragrance.
Btw, I am curious, about the pineapple guava you mentioned in your posting. How does it taste like?

Ahh, i see... that reminds me of the large jasmine flowers that people sell at the roadside to people stop at the traffic light in Taipei. When it is fresh it is white, but then it gets dry, it becomes dark red. Smells amazing too. Normally people buy to keep in the car to make the car smell good the natural way.
We have not tried any pineapple guava yet. Since we got the plant last year, it is flowering for the 1st time but i havent seen any little fruit, and i wonder why.

It's harvest time for sweet potato from my garden.
The sweet potato from this clay pot caused the pot to crack.
Since the clay pot is cracked, so I had to break it up.
All these from 1 clay pot
The white skin potato have purple flesh while the red skin have golden flesh
Just had stir-fry sweet potato leaves with sambal belacan for dinner.
Good harvest there, Naka.
