My dad is in town to visit me. Generally, I never live up to his expectations when it comes to me bringing him to good food. And I take it to heart sometimes.

I tried my luck with Ah Yoke Chicken Rice.....He loved it and wants to come back again. For once, my pride and dignity restored.

Yes, the uncle is the cook, the chopper and the everything. And he has a temper but only to his wife and helpers. If his wife tersilap ambil order, that's it.

    Go try it out.

Went there this afternoon, around 2pm. Chicken is cold and tasted so so. Peanut soup is hot but no peanuts. He could at least give the chicken a hot bath with hot water or hot soup. Will try again if it is like that...

    Prefer casablanca chicken rice.

Went over nearly 2 weeks ago, very tasty & served hot soup & rice. Service was good too. We've taken some forumer's advise and was there around 1130am for an early lunch. Noticed that the wife was taking so many cell phone orders for lunch.

    Tried it.
    Chicken was cold.
    Utensils and tables oily.
    Soup all over the table.
Two portion served on a one portion plate. Messy to dig in.
Expensive. Two portion white chicken (kampung only, no ordinary steam) is RM6.50 X 2 / Two Chinese tea is RM1.00 X 2 total spent RM15.00

Casablanca chicken rice beat them hands down in all areas.

Verdict >> written off my list and not going back.

Missed out a point. The rice quality was bad, no fragrance. Grains were not whole, broken.

Other than Casablanca, I also recommend Kar Heong SS18 and Kong Sai Chai SS15.

Wow, almost ONE YEAR LATER and the QC dropped by so much .... Must go and try again after reading the recent negative comments.

I am also patronising Casbalanca due to proximity to my home, lazy to drive so far into USJ11
Everyday is a good day for GOOD FOOD and a GOOD LAUGH

Is Casablanca really that good? Better than Kar Heong at SS14? I have to check it out even though I am trying to have more riceless days.

I have never stepped foot into Casablanca. Is that the corner coffee shop where at the other end is Apollo Restaurant?
