haha... actually shamburke, it is true for multinational banks at least. Somehow, Malaysian employees are supposed to be doer, not thinker. And never once questions any instruction by the regional office!

unfortunately, I tried your method when I first came on board my firm... it worked if I steam-roll over Malaysian bosses... but not when it comes to touching the Singapore bosses. I am still told that I don't know what I am doing because they know best coming from Singapore. I guess they forgot I used to work at wallstreet. haha
