all credit cards are the same-la... once you pay minimum amount due and you're dead meat at the end of the day... the 1.5% per month interest is actually more than what you think you're paying....

At least - StanChart offers guaranteed "gifts" when you sign about X amounts... last time it was digital photo frames...
Over the counter .

So it is better than photo frames.
Has anybody done a detailed study on stanchart versus maybank credit card ?
Have been 'testing' the Maybank 2 Cards and must agree that it provides the best return for those who clear their bills each month. Points to note :
AMEX - Received RM50 EVERY month for weekend usage at all major hypermarts & most Klang Valley petrol stations (5% up to RM1,000). On top of that, there is about 2.5% return which you can get back. An easy method is to switch all your autopay to AMEX. No expiry date.
The Mastercard which comes along is generally used as a spare or where Amex not acceptable. Reward is about 0.5%. No need to cancel since I pay service charge for only ONE card.
By the way, many may not realise that Bonuslink only offers 1 point for every litre. BP offers 1% return at 1 point for every Ringgit. Esso/Mobil is the best with 1.5% return - 1 point for every Ringgit, 1000pts = RM15.

does esso have petrol voucher to redeem for points ?
Quite a long list of places to use amex....
Don't know about petrol vouchers. But I have redeemed points for petrol a few times.

Calls for correction. This SCB card had recently stopped their cash back, airport lounge usage etc . Not using it anymore. Going to return it.
