    Cooker hood and hob

Which brand of cooker hood and hob is better? I do a lot of cooking for the family and am looking for a good brand to buy. Too many brands in the market and am confused on how to choose. Opinions and recommendations much appreciated, especially from those who've had experience using them. Looking forward to hear from you, whether good or bad. Thanks!

I'm using Electrolux hood and hob. Hood is good and easy to clean. But I bought the noisy one with very high suction power. Hob is not so good. Takes a while to light and had some parts changed after a year.

Hmm... so Electrolux is out of my list. Thanks LMei.

Thanks Franky for the offer. But it's for my new house, of course I want to buy new one lah! But it was really sweet of you to offer. Perhaps it should be given to someone more deserving. Thanks again.

It really depends on your budget.

Don't get hoodwinked with all those Italian sounding names such as Tuscani which is really the house brand of the Fiamma Group. What these people do is register the name in Italy (really, it is Italian - name only) and then engage factories in China to produce it. Thereafter, they sell it here at nice margins with about the same reliability as the more local brands.

You are better off getting local brands which has better and lower entry price points.

Of course if you want the expensive "real" brand stuff, there are a few but do your homework. The price matches the "real" brands.
