Any idea when the Sonata NF came out? The 2002 Sonata EF model has issues with high FC. Apparently the Koreans ironed out most of the issues in their NF model.

Thanks. I looked at mudah.com and they (EF and NF) look the same body. Is that right? If so, how to differentiate it? If can get NF model below RM30K, I will definitely consider it seriously.

You have to look at the engine spec, normally the Sales guy or the Car Manual would have it specified.

Well, the headlights certainly look the same. The NF model, with the squarish headlight starts in 2006 and I think that is the 5th generation Sonata. Still pricey for me.

But, i dont understand what problems are you referring to EF models? Just for the sake of discussion and understand... EF model should be the same as my car...

There is a Sonata forum somewhere. Too lazy to dig it up but some of the issues are mentioned. Basically it is underpowered and high FC. The newer Sonata has better FC. I think yours is 2007 and after, right? That will be on par with the 5th generation Sonata i.e. the NF model.

nope mine is a 2004 model, but registered on 2006. Its EF, to my knowledge its a good engine!, its Mitsubishi 4g63 (Evo), and you say its bad? hmmm

underpower, naturally yes, its more of a comfort car. Bad FC, I wont say so, as I said previously compared to Brand New Camry, mine is almost the same.

Is that a Honda C70 or Volvo C70? There are slight differences between the two.

I like your sense of humor Doc.... its a C70 as in Volvo lah. I have always like coupes with powerful engines even if they are 12-15 years old. I am eyeing a Mercedes 1995 500CL Brabus.... road tax reduced to 2,000 cc car rate! Love the smooth V8....

My friend got a Brabus soft top and he took me for a ride along Batu Ferrenghi. Wah! what a car. Sleek and fast. He said there are only 3 cars of this type in Malaysia.

How is your FC? 10L/100 km or better? My Camry is 9.5L/100km for city driving and 11L/100 km for highway driving.

I think you have mixed city and highway driving numbers here?
    City I get about 9.5l/100km and highway I get about 8 l/100km
