Thumbs up Nice fish shop in SJ/USJ - if you like Patin !!

A few of the Lick Hung mums recently recommended for me to go and try the "Patin fish-shop" aka Restoran GMG next to Park Way coffeeshop in SS19.

We had our dinner there last night and wow !! The patin fish was really damn good (we had steamed in soya sauce) and the price was ok (my wife said cheap - but as I am paying ..., no such thing as cheap except makan roti at home !! ) ... wifey said come again next weekend

They also have other dishes (steam egg and veges are good too) but not as extensive as others as their speciality is patin fish dishes - that's why I call it a "fish-shop"

Not exactly new - I think almost 6-8 months old already ....

RM56 for total meal including fish, one vege, one fried chicken, one steam egg, rice and drinks .... same stuff at Choy Kee dinner would have been around RM70-80.

How about the portion? Is it big or small if compared to Choy Kee?

Almost the same .... ooopppss ... I think the cashier may have miscalculated my bill now that I think about it !!!

I got try again this weekend and see what happens ... the patin fish weighs around 600-700gms ... I saw that on the bill.

Went again and had the SAME set of dishes and paid the SAME amount - so NO mistake in the previous bill (RM56-) - IMHO, a really good deal for good fresh PATIN !!

The shop only serves ONE type of fish and they really know how to do it - I asked the lady and she said she charges RM4 per 100gm and all the patin are 600-700gms and from Temerloh - so around RM24-28 per fish !!!!

For the similar amount of food at the other tai-chows nearby, I will be paying close to RM35-40 for the fish and overall, the bill will be around RM20- more !!

ONLY DRAWBACK (but not for me ! ) is that they only serve PATIN as the seafood choice and smaller selection for vegetables and chicken, BUT I am happy coz what I like are all there

Better keep this secret place within SJ/USJ. If Mercedes/BMW comes and eat there then the price also become Mercedes/BMW price
