    Hi,

First let's drill down to you budget. For a European car, of course its way over your budget. And in reality, they are not so cheap when it comes to repair.

So whats left only Japs, The Korean and not to forget the Harimau Malaya. So realiability issue comes into place.

Proton : Lots of minor accessories issue. Although they have improved the QC in many aspect. And the campro doesn't give much of a problem. Still I'm concerned about accessories. But the price is kinda cheap.

Toyota : Estima (6 seater), Alphard (6 seater), Innova (7 Seater), Avanza (7 seater). Personally tested all the above and Innova seems to be a good choice for you. The Kijang based platform is very reliable in terms of performance. Its a lorry based MPV. Kijang has been in indonesia market for more than 10 years now and widely known in Malaysia as Unser. Avanza, too small if all adult. Unless you are willing to sacrifice 1 seat, Estima will do you good.

Nissan : I believe Serena will be quite a good choice. So far not much complaints.

Kia : Trust me, the last you wana consider. The engine will start to drink like in desert after a few years. Korean MPV not that highly recommended.

I agree. I rental a Kia Carnival and recorded 8.5 km/l for highway driving!! I can only assume that city driving will be worse. Even my Camry can get 11km/l on the highway.

BTW, the Innova was the Unser replacement. In my opinion, the Innova is great value for money.... forget about the Estima and Alphard - they are too expensive for me. I am wondering when they will bring in a new Innova model?

I doubt there will be any new innova coming out for the time being. Not a hot seller anymore.

Thats precisely the reason why a new model should come out. I am also waiting for one with a diesel engine.
