When one uses the term 'upgrading' you mean an improvement or enhancement to existing services. So far what I've experienced is that Digi is barely re-establishing a stable but slow 3g service in Subang Jaya, where previously data stability was horrible and it was not uncommon to see speeds dropping to Edge and even loss of signal. So I think 'restoration works' is a more appropriate term than 'upgrading'.
The is confirmed by customer service & Expected Recovery is 48 hours.
3G Upgrade Of USJ 18
After the upgrading, the 3G expected to be stable by end of June.

SS 12 getting only Edge speeds the whole day. Pathetic.
I have been a Digi customer for many years but I am looking to switching either back to Maxis or others. In my house there are areas where there are no signal. In Bk Jelutong, when I visit my sis-in-law, I cannot get a signal. Other Digi users in the same house cannot get a signal too. My connection drops frequently and everytime it drops, I looked at the phone and noticed that there were no signals, even when I am driving. Either my phone has problems (Nokia 5230) or Digi has problems.
Perhaps their transmitters and transponders are getting old and deteriorated performance. These things are outdoor 24/7 sunshine, rain, storm, extreme heat, and what have you. most damaging weather for anything electronics in the outdoor. They should do more maintenance, and anyone's guess what they're doing. i suspect overgrown and very tall trees around the area also make things worse. Its a fact that radio signals don't like obstructions and if any, however good the equipment could be, performance is bound to deteriorate.
Do Unto Others
"Possessions, outward success, publicity, luxury -- to me, these have always been contemptible. I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best for both the body and the mind." --- Albert Einstein
Since no good coverage inside my factory I divert calls into my cordless phone if my h/p is shutoff. Last week I got 5 consecutive sms about my credit balance from 2900. But the number called was not indicated.
Then I went to Digi service centre to inquire. I was told the calls were made to my company cordless phone number. I didn't know Digi call divert service is chargeable.
It means the person making a call to my h/p has to pay, and I have to pay the same rate when the call gets diverted to another number. One call - 2 charges. Good business practice by Digi.
It is confirmed the possibility of the above may either be due to vandalism of equipment or thieves cutting the cable.
