    Question Led Tv

LED TVs are actually just LED lighted LCD TVs.
Heard backlighted LED is better than sidelighted ones, but I don't seem to find any in Malaysia, has anyone heard of this?

Anyway, heard of Panasonic THL42E3K, there seemed to be a sale for this item in the shops now, wonder why? any comment on this unit? Is it a model that is outdated?

mate, have you compared the specs, between the 3 TVs? Decide based on that vs the price that you pay.

Didnt consider Plasma? Just curious? We have a thread on that as well...

Mind sharing, which countries its banned? Yeah, 7-10cents more than LED per hour, if you call that a guzzler, so be it

aiyo, its pretty much like a PC's power supply unit, infact lesser!

Anyways, as for the model you had asked, Check the spec, and compare. panny has 300 lines of moving picture resolution. check the samsung?

Normally Samsung would throw in a little better features, such as HDMI slots, etc.

I dont think its banned in Cali, what the 2009 bill passed was that the new regulations require that TVs be 33% more efficient than current (2009) energy star standards by 2011.

Its not only for PLasma but any energy guzzler including big screen LCDs.

Since then, specifically PLasma had come along way reducing its power consumption and stanby power as well. A 42 in PLasma only consumes about 280W, which is half you PC power.
