Freehold lah ... Non-Indonesians are not allowed to buy ...

Here's a more mouth-watering villa owned by a mate of mine who has no intention to sell as of now. Infinity pool literally next to the sea front.

For those who like Bali and don’t mind the threat from Islamic fundamentalist, this villa is difficult to resist.

Bali itself is mostly Hindu so the threat is mainly from outsiders and these people can be threatening anywhere.

What I mean is Bali is a well-known place with the most western tourists, certainly the preferred choice for terrorist compare to other cities in Indonesia ….. like what happened in Marriot Bali.

Hindu majority Bali is only as dangerous as anywhere u find a horde of westerners. And in bali its the kuta area...so if u avoid rubbing shoulders with western tourists there, u wont get bomb lah.

Except for close encounter with Ms Mola Mola, bali is not 1of my fave spot on earth...Chan rak thai

I think you are making an unsupported statement here Sagamihara-san. My friend had stayed in Villa Burung Raja for 12 years now and he's British and I have been there too... people of Bali are not Islamic fundamentalists, they are mostly Hindus! The bombers of the Bali disco are from Java, not Balinese!

Yup avoid rubbing shoulders and wat not with the questionable tourist or people there lest you may get unwanted health 'problems'

....the latest HIV screening study in March 2010 by the Bali Health Department reveals Bali has the second highest infection rate in Indonesia behind Jakarta and the island's young are most vulnerable, with those in the 20 to 29 age range peaking at 46 per cent. Sexually active teenagers between 15 and 19 account for 2.3 per cent of HIV.

I was in Bali about 2 months after the bombings. Everything was getting back to normal. Amazing for something so serious. We went to the 4 seasons for a look with my bosses and the security to go in was very tight at the entrance. Because we had made an appointment we could go in. Bomb sniffing dogs and metal/bomb detectors going under the vehicles. I asked the person showing us around what was their occupancy. Was informed that it dropped quite badly to 70%!!!. I asked them from what? From 95% up!! If malaysian resorts have that kind of occupancy they would be laughing all the way to the bank and they were selling their one room villas for 600plus onwards us dollars mind you.

Bali is a famous place among Aussie & Kiwi, especially for those lower income group.

The short travelling distance (cheaper travel fare) plus the strong Aussie/NZ dollar allow them to spend a good time in Bali beyond their dream in their homeland..

I have nothing against Bali and I really like the Balinese garden design, I just particularly dislike Aussie and to be more accurate the white Aussie.

Ps. read the BBC news last night, the Aussie government apologised to the aborigines of taking their land for mining using the reason of improving the children right (curb child abuse).

I don’t think this can happen with the current service level of local hotel.

Anyone with the right frame of mind will rather spend the money elsewhere (Thailand especially). The room rate and food is value for money and more importantly, you feel good after spending the money.

With airfare getting more and more affordable, I can only see people will spend their vacation elsewhere rather than domestic

Hotel in bolehland is only for gomen seminar, kursus, etc and once a year buka puasa…
