Ubuntu converts

Hi,

I have been using Ubuntu and have been a "convert" since 2008. Are there any users here that also support Ubuntu? We can share our experience and refer to each other if in need of help

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Edition from a usb thumb as a secondary OS.

Am trying out Ubuntu. Have it in thumbdrive to bootup my old laptop. Tried installing from the thumbdrive into the laptop as a bootup os but unable to install after more than 2 hours. Appears to be no activity during the period. Any suggestions? Laptop has Windows os which is good for 30 days so am trying to replace it with Ubuntu.

how is it now, after 8 months of being ubuntu's user?
which version are you currently using?

myself was a ubuntu user but i changed to debian after a while for its stability.
