Subang airport immigration office would be permanently closed and shifting it's operation to Kelana Jaya , Block A Glomac Plaza , Jln SS7/19 from 12-12-2010.

O dear, how to find parking there? Since the government has so much land why don't they build a proper immigration office with plenty of car parks for the public? If a police station can have its own land, why not an immigration office? It is time they consider that.

Glomac Plaza has plenty of parking underground but expensive. I welcome the move because it's much nearer; spend less time in the jam on the way to old airport.

Wow... That would be a killer then when it takes as much as 5 hours to complete a transaction like today at Subang......sitting ducks then to enrich their coffers....

It takes less than 5 hours CCY. A couple of weeks ago, i renewed by passport in subang terminal 2. I had all my documents/photo ready and prepared and went to the immigration office. My parking ticket says 2.44pm. I went to the counter to get my documents checked and to collect number. The lady at the counter told me to try the kiosk instead and to ignore the number she gave me if all went well. I went to the kiosk outside, there was about 7 or so people ahead of me. By the time I completed the renewal, my receipt showed the time as 3.00pm. That's about 15 minutes from the time I entered the parking lot!! Collection at 5pm. Unfortunately the collection counter closes at 4pm. Of well.....since the immigration is not far for us Subang people, no big deal to collect the next day.

Is it near to the income tax dept ? If it is, then I welcome the move as it is nearer and more convenient.

Furthermore, there will be a LRT there in near future.

So parking is not a big problem.

Yup....It was exceptional today. Arrive at 7.30am and leave at 12.30 . Jam pack + the usual 'Tergendala..teknical' moments to add in. Can't use the kiosk because it was renewal for the under 18 kiddo.
One guy got the short end of the stick....his Mykad not readable and the attendant say he have to change his Mykad. True ...he went to the NRD and come back with a piece of paper ...he might have misunderstood that he cannot renew his passport in the normal counter with a defective Mykad but can with a piece of NRD paper.

It might be because of being the last day there where most of the services is running at the bare minimum including the aircon. Haha...free sauna to the afternoon crowd...

Overall ...I would say they have done a good job....
