I went to this joint a few days ago of coz after 8pm for their cakes...

The service staff recommended their new cake - mille crepe but has no discount even after 8pm ...since it is left 1 last piece...so decided to give it a try...it tastes marvellous...there are 25+ layers of crepes with a delightful combination of fresh cream and vanilla custard between each layer. The topmost layer is caramelized to give it a nice smoky sugary flavour. For that I give a rating of 9 out of 10...

As for my kids, they love the chocolate crunchy which I tried and think it is good too...

Not entirely true!! Lynn's at SS15 also give good value. Go give it a try.

Thanks, Patrick. Will look up Lynn's... passed by once but parking in SS15 is like trying to force Semi Value to retire... it will a long time before you succeed...

I tried the mille crepe too for two consecutive nights, though it was not discounted after 8pm. But it was worth it!! But the trick is...dont eat it straight off from the chilled showcase. Allow it to warm down a bit, then you will get to enjoy the full, creamy flavour! We also tried the walnut carrot cake last nite and that too was excellent. Again, allow it to warm down a bit. One way is to order it ahead, and let your cakes stand whilst you enjoy your main course.

Oh, I also tried their spaghetti bolognese and I also highly recommend this item. Hope to get some pics for posting. (Keep forgetting my camera every time....grrrrhhh...!!)

Tried this place 2 days ago, Spaghetti olio is so so..a bit bland. Prefer the Uno's olio.
Pizza, ordered the hawaiian chicken, not bad i would say. Juicy and taste ok.
    Fish and chips..over fried.
    Value for money - Yes..cheap!

I tried a few types of cakes (50% off) as we bought a few varieties for my niece's birthday (she is only 3 so she does not need to know we bought it at 50% off). All of them are above average but the one that is really nice is the cheese cake. That is my favorite. It is creamy and cheesy.

Yes, yes...the Olio was a tad dry, but their Bolognese was good. They should have more gravy on their spaghetti. Also found the Fish & Chips a bit overfried with too thick a batter. Had also given them feedback. Yesterday morning tried their Coffee Latte caramel. Thumbs up !!

    Christmas Set

Just aware that they have Christmas dinner set and booked their Christmas set tonight Shall give you all my comments after trying it.

I would appreciate if Coleslaw could enlighten us which meals he took which he said was quite disappointed...at least we could either feedback to Boss John or avoid ordering them... hehehe...

Yeah...but let us always keep in mind that tastes is indeed very subjective as Coleslaw did mention. Best thing to do when dining out is, if possible, tell the chef your preference such as not too salty or not too dry etc, etc. The other good thing about this outlet is that all the staff are very polite (bosses included) and they do go out of the way to please the customers. And that's a good start.

    Christmas Set

As promised, tried out the Christmas set dinner yesterday nite with my family and friends. It turned out to be a really amazing Christmas eve. The meals are absolutely above our expectations.

For appetiser, we had the signature dish, wonder duck. Perfect start of the meal, some lean duck meat with salads and green apples. My wife especially had a great liking towards the spagetti served with turkey meat. The spagetti was garnished with some chilies and she said it was such a perfect combination when you eat them together with the giblet sauce. My kids really indulged in the Christmas puddings which was marvellously fruity, served with chilled Vanilla ice cream.

It was a 8-course meal in which I think it is too much for my stomach...guess what everything cost us RM328nett for 6 pax!!!
