    I had nasi lemak last night (Saturday night) at a coffeeshop / restaurant at the Section 17 Happy Mansion flats... really good. Had the rendang beef one with a second topping of cuttlefish sotong sambal... lots of normal sambal plus half a hard-boiled egg, peanuts & ikan bilis, and cucumber. RM11.50, quite resonable coz we had added on lots of stuff like the beef rendang and sotong sambal... washed down with ais limau kosong...

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    Would that be 6 to 10 grill? The western food is also good.

    Actually you would be surprised that Happy Mansions has a lot of good food eg My Elephant thai restaurant, charsiew/chick rice stall at a coffee shop day time and Food Foundry.

    When we were staying in Taman Tun, we used to patronise Happy Mansion as our favorite hair salon was there. Looks like it is time for a visit to these nice shops.

    Very good choices of restaurants and very good and cooling places too. Prices are very reasonable. I had a huge portion of chicken chop served with mushroom sauce with lots of salad, mashed potatoes etc for just RM17... wow! Tasty too...

    I think its becoming a food area with niche bistros and restaurants...

    It's also down memory lane for me eating here coz back 30 years ago, I was a regular at Happy Restaurant down the road for my chap farn with chinese tea for RM1.10 during my UM days...

    I found myself in Subang Jaya so we went looking for food but ended up having thai food at the little box restaurant at the porch of The Summit USJ.

    Dinner with my business partners at Happiness Chinese Restaurant at Datarn 32, Section 19, PJ. There were four of us and we had:

    i. deep-fried talapia (medium size) - crisppy, fresh and quite tasty;
    ii. hong kong kailan fried with garlic;
    iii. tofu with minced pork;
    iv. chicken with dried chillies and cashenut.

    With white rice and a pot of chinese tea (chrysanthemum tea) the bill was RM111.00. Quite ok coz portion was quite big.

    A can of tuna flakes, olive oil sauteed spanish big onion, 3dollops of mayo, 1/5 tea spoon of black pepper, wedge of lime, 2 chopped chilli padi all rojak'd up nicely and carefully spread on an 8inch of freshly baked baguette, garnished with butterhead lettuce.

    Each jumbo bite is chased with a slice of ripe tomato, crunchy jap cue and a few slivers of carrot. *burp* down with a pot of lipton tea.
