The Courts, perhaps, but I'm thinking those homes nearest to the main road and overhead LRT rail will not be so happy about it later on. Not yet for now.
I've always been thinking the rail should be along the road further behind next to the industrial area. LRT whizzing to n fro can be quite audible from a far distance and I think. As I said, maybe people aren't quite aware of this possibility.

    5. a poll on usj.com.my would be totally unscientific and the results would have no bearing on any decisions that have probably already been made.
AllUrban is probably correct but we just want to know the feelings of commuters in SJ & USJ. More like for our own conviction of sort. So just vote like someone said....you want it? Or would you ride on the LRT? Simple....Thanks.

    One concern/question......

There is a underground gas pipe (?) running across the traffic lights near the mosque at USJ18. Hope the engineers knows about this when they start building the line...

On the answer: Yes...please lay the line pronto!

    Cheers!

I still maintain that we can have a win-win situation.. i.e. have the lrt running thru SJ and USJ and yet satisfy everyone.

The answer is underground. Now, dont tell me SJ is built on tin mine area and all the cock and bull story of how it is not reasibile if the land was a former mining area.. i do not buy that.. underground can be done.. it would cost more, but it is do-able.. at the end of the day, the builder will still get their money back as people will use the service..

    just my 2 cents.

I will sokong juga. I rent that out to students and singles or I will sell it to people/business who want an LRT outside their doorstep.

The idea is to keep the costs as low (cost-effective) as possible .... I am not willing to pay >< RM10 for a trip to Masjid Jamek from Station 7 or 8!~ RM5.00 is reasonable!~

About 80% of the route is already over main roads ... so ... lets 'lock n load' !~

they need not charge that kindda price even if it goes underground... try open tender, you would get best price and acceptable quality.. but if just handout to certain politically licked.. eh.. linked company, then expect to pay more than RM10 for that distance of travel even if it is not underground lar..

Yes, and only the very wealthy can afford. It'll be dream homes or figments of imagination for the next generation who just got their career going with a quality life.
RM200k to approaching half a mill ringgit homes in USJ.. go figure.
I heard one home near my place (run down intermediate lot moreover) changed hands at 450k..

Strongly sokong. Must have an alternative mode of transport. Look at the jam in USJ every morning. So much time and money wasted.

While i thank Patrick on this subject, alot of forummers submit various reasons. For loderunner,we must understand that everywhere in the whole world goes to work either 8am/9am surely jam lah! We have to live with it.For you, would your ride the LRT for RM8 (one way)to KLCC that isRM 320 permonth.Summore everybody also ride it at that hour.!

I don't think the fare would be so high -RM8 - to KLCC..
From Kelana Jaya to Gombak it is only about RM2.40 or RM2.60..

    Cheers!

Jan .... the next type of "jam" is roads along or under the stations ... have you read the Paramount station houseowners' complaints? And the USJ11/9 residents, for people going into Taipan?
So ... hope MPSJ tackles this now ... i.e. provide parking for the commuters instead of letting them park along the mainroads and the houses.
If not ... have mercy to those parked and stolen ....
(Speaking in particular to Stations 7 & 8, i.e. along Jalam Kewajipan!

    Khap!~
