Hannah has messed up the issue of private security implementation in Subang Jaya..that may be one of the reason, the councillors have to go!

many have complained but no action was taken by the councillors and the Adun!

And as always, we get opportunists like this turning the issue towards the ADUN and g&g?! Are u so shallow that u need to politicize everything? We scream at politicians doing this, but it looks like certain usj.com.my forumers are better at it. The oxymoronic thing is that your grouse is "private" security implementation and you somehow think ADUN, a public rep is responsible. Private, public??!!

Since when is an ADUN responsible for making arrangements for private security for residents?

She is an elected representative of the whole of SJ and I don't see why she should care for private security? She might be a liaison with the cops for public security but private security? Nah, you shouldn't blame her, its not her tanggungjawab.

For those of you who have blasted me...thank you, you are probably from that from that group of people who are have been setting up private security on public access roads, that's why it is so hurting...

Nobody asked her to set up security for anybody but when there are issues related to G&G they should be there to reolve them.. thats what I was saying..

Soon Theresa, would be history, in comes next councillor ...the issues are still pending...

When the state rep & councillor are from Pakatan and being the people advising the MPSJ on G&G projects why shd'nt they be held responsible?

I might still own a house in USJ4 but I don't remember feeling good or bad about G&G, its the majority of the residents' wish to go G&G or not. Not one individual trying to impose his personal wish on others.

I don't even stay in USJ anymore. So, please don't go shooting your mouth accusing people without any basis...

I am in SS17 and we do not have an gng.

I do not support gng for the simple fact that the job falls upon the PDRM.
The pdrm shortcomings aside. ~ Go pest/bug/scold/remind/beg our mr Potato mp for not harping on and demanding public security at the Parliament level! This is mr potato's job!

The residents know jolly well that GnG is technically illegal in the eyes of the law (and until such law is changed, it remains illegal to block/fence up public road) and wanting a Councillor or JKP Leader or an ADUN(?) to 'legalise' it, is making 2 wrongs! It smacks of sheer selfish hypocrisy & stupidity lah.

Are we so used to willingly and openly commit an infringement, an illegal act and then get the 'leaders/authorities' to tutup 1mata? We praise, espouse the goodness of the laws of other developed countries and we still want this 'crooked ways' for our future gen?

Are we to condone 2 sets of laws? 1 for the big&rich and 1 for the small & meek? Try building a rear extension without permit and see? Or u wanna know For instance: The ss16gallery? it correctly and properly submitted 1 master plan for construction..2(?)yrs later quietly modified the whole structure, lowered the ceilings, built an extra mezzanine shopping floor illegally, then it* lobbied to have the state government overruled the local authorities' refusal for CF? U wanna this kinda thingy? To continue breaking the law, to tutup 1mata....Then we are truly damned!

Change, my friend starts from a baby step, from an individual.

Thank God its 220pm...only 3more hr to Happy hours!

About 14 residents of USJ 2 met ADUN Hannah Yeoh on June 25, 2010 at about 6.30pm. They roped me in to attend this meeting as they know I am against the illegal fencing up of USJ.

During the hour-long meeting, we informed Hannah of our concerns. I also handed her and Rajiv a copy each of my points against FnG.

Some of us gave her a piece of our mind. She explained that she is not behind the FnG as rumoured.

While most of us will agree that she is a hard working ADUN, I feel many people think that the issue has been messed up by our ADUNS and the councillors.

Hence, I agree with you ksj-cool.

This thread's title is living up to its name. Yet another opportunistic posting. Allow me to explain why I say so. Being opportunistic is when one grabs a chance or situation to further one's own cause, interest or even disinterest. And in this case, ksj_cool and sccheah are both being blatantly opportunistic by using their personal objections against the GnG schemes to blame the ADUN and the councillors, and in so doing, hope to exert pressure on the ADUN and councillors into fulfilling their personal demands.

If you are not opportunistic, then why no finger pointed against the rightful parties, i.e the police!!! When did our ADUN and councillors made responsible for security & crime? If you're going to blame, at least blame the right people. If police is up to mark, there wouldn't be a need for GnG in the first place! If you're really concerned with improving security but don't want to do anything about it, then go and blame police, Home Ministry and Federal govt who are the rightful parties responsible for this mess, not just in Subang Jaya but in every urban centre in this country.

That's precisely my point. The ADUN is indeed assisting in doing something, and not in doing nothing. Many opposing cos they don't want to do anything, just blame anyone who tries to do something. Some places got active RT, others employ guards, now USJ got VPU. I'm saying, pick one which works for u, don't just complain about GnG.

Ppl who complain GnG becoz of 3 things.:
1- they do not want to pay
2- they do not want others to control them
3- It is illegal as certified by MPSJ but do nothing about it

Ahem, is this name calling? Why no banana for you? Maybe another banana for me again? Anyway, during that meeting, the USJ2 delegation informed Hannah that 430 residents have petitioned against having FnG in USJ2 and if I heard correctly Hannah may call a press conference to announce no FnG for USJ2. In fact, the number of those against FnG in USJ 2 is rising.

Well, God or Heaven will know the truth whether there are invisible hands in messing things up.

I hope SonofSoil will spend some time reading some of the past comments about this issue.
