Something to share with all of you beware if your cars is parked outside your house becuase car thiefs strikes again in USJ area.

I've live in USJ 12/3A and last Monday 16/12/2002 my car parked outside my house was stolen.

The car alarm does not trigger at all. Seems that there are very pro in stealing cars.

So to all USJ people's please be cautions. Thank you

    Hi Luke...

Yes the car was lock with sterling lock..gear lock...but the Polis ( Sarjen Manaf from Shah Alam ) said..no matter how "canggih" your alarm is......they still can steal your car away......without trigger the alarm.....

How ?? They tow away your car.....he even mentioned that not only USJ 12 reported lost of cars.....

He mentioned that USJ 13 , USJ 4 , USJ 20 aslo reported the same cases..

So if seeing any suspisious ppls walking late nite better be careful....

Sorry to hear about the car.

I am not trying to rub it in, but have you heard of the Crime prevention groups called

    "Neighbourhood Watch"

Most people don't know this, but it's where you find the best crime prevention device ever created : Good Neighbours

    Robert, ... ????

A lot of people just do not care or have this tidak apa attitude as long as it doesn't happen to them. When it does, they start to react - just like sending out a wedding invitation after a wedding or locking up a house after it has been burglared!

I recently heard of an unsuccessful attempt to steal a car in the middle of the night. The alarm triggered. The wife woke up the husband to ask him to investigate. Sleep was too important at that moment. The hubby stayed on in bed until after about 10 minutes later, when the alarm stopped. He decided then to check. Came down from the bed room to see a man sitting in his Kancil, trying to start it. The man fled and left his bag of tools behind.

if i may add to robertec, having good neighbours is only the second half of the equation. the concept begins with being a good neighbour yourself. that means being part of the community caring and sharing in what goes on around you.

i had a neighbour who saw somebody break into his car in the wee hours of the morning. guess what - he woke some of his neighbours to tell them that his car was gone! sick thing was most of us have not seen his face b4. obviously not only nobody came over to console him, most of us also let off steam at him for crying over spilled milk. it would have been different if only ....

I know what you mean tan_r

But it is better late than never.

To justify & accept incidents of car theft, breakins, snatch thieves and crime in general as being inevitable is utter nonsense.

There are preventive measures that can and should be taken.

A lot of people do have the tidak apa attitude probably because they are more concerned with their own daily lives. Only a very small group are really anti social for reasons known only to themselves.

But for the victims of crime to shrug off such incidents, borders on being pathetic.

You'd be surprised. lightning does strike twice.
