    Kaunter Polis Trafik

I was unfortunately given a love note by a traffic police officer for unruly parking at Bukit Jalil yesterday. On the note it says I can proceed to any 'kaunter polis trafik' in Malaysia to settle the summons.

I head straight to the police station at Bukit Jalil (same row as SIRIM), but was told there is no 'kaunter polis trafik' there. In fact, the station is for lokap and reporting new cases. I asked the officer for the nearest one, and he mentioned Puchong Jaya.

Back in USJ I paid a visit to the one in USJ8, asking for the 'kaunter polis trafik', but the officer said there is none in USJ! The nearest one, according to the officer, is at Seri Kembangan, next to South City Plaza!

I'm totally puzzled right now. Where can I settle my traffic summons?

There's one in The Curve/Ikano. Its located at the 'underground' link between Curve/Ikea - near the Basement 1 parking area.

I hope you're right because I'm in Cyberjaya right now. Will pop in to take a look.

I hear the 50% discount is applicable for the first 30 days only. After that it's either lesser discount or none at all. I will try the Putrajaya branch, first. If not, I'll have to visit SS17 first thing tomorrow morning.

Oh yeah! Now that you mentioned it! I remember seeing one a long time ago.

I hope they open outside office hours.

I remember there used to be one at IOI Mall, but that was like more than 1 year ago when I last went past that old section of the IOI Mall, near where the gym is on the ground level same as the Merry-Go-Round ride. I heard they have connected that zone with the IOI Mall new wing, so not sure if it is still there ...

Hehehe... perhaps PDRM should have ONLY ONE counter in the whole country like say in Betong!..

Then motorists may learn NOT to break traffic laws. Don't pay?.. GOTO JAIL!.. period!..

Why the hurry to pay when the polis haven't input your data to the traffic dept.BTW the 50% disc.is on the mercy side of the polis on duty.If they don't give, talk to the Officer in charge.normally they gave as i have quite a number of experinces on this matter.

You can also go to the Police Station in Puchong opposite IOI mall.

If summon for accident, cannot bargain.

The TV is always harping about MYEG. Whether it's as useful as the other govt sites, I'm not too sure. You can try it out and let us know?

    The site is: http://www.myeg.com.my/

    GOOD LUCK!

I visited the Seri Kembangan branch and settled the fine. A bit heartbroken to see my hard-earned cash fly away like that, but it's a good lesson to always abide by the law... when they are looking.

    Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

The officer first 'quoted' the undiscounted amount. I had to ask for it.
