Now, I have a cucumber question.

The cucumber we used in our sandwiches? If left to grow old on the plant, does it become the fat yellow ones used in soup?

I mean, they looked the same.

That's enlightening. From the pix, they look like shrubs. Didn't expect them to be so tall. Being tall and have so many bright blooms, what an attraction to have them in the garden. This reminds me of tall models with nice features!

Been a long time since there has been any postings in this thread.
Hubby planted Cayenne peppers this season, and the flowers are surprisingly cute. The chili peppers itself are almost 6" long but very skinny. Still green at the moment. No pics of the peppers yet.

Yes, very difficult decision. Too much fertilizer/hormone?

Some time back, we planted a Strawberry guava plant and also a Pineapple guava, but so far only the strawberry guava has fruited this season.

It really does taste exactly like a ripe guava but softer inside and also the seeds are just like a normal guava. Very small though, between the size of a 10sen and 20sen coin.

I thought our guavas here have tiny seeds which are really hard, more like tiny pebbles clumped together in the placenta area... i usually have to scoop out the core to remove all the inedible seeds. The seeds in your variety are huge by comparison and probably easy to be spit out once the flesh is teased apart (or is it an optical illusion of size ... when compared to the leaves, the fruits are actually quite small ... not the size of our coins)

Adoi! I should hv worded myself better... i meant to say that the little strawberry guava is small ... just between the size of a 10sen and 20sen coin. the seeds are the same size like a regular guava but there are about 3 or 4 seeds only.

If only we had the tag function (as found in Facebook), Naka would have been notified of Rolypoly's post and responded the next time he logged in. I know it works differently as this is a forum and FB is FB but you can't stop a person from hoping!

    Very nice pictures in here.
