Question shopping center in Subang - Empire Gallery

was told that this huge complex next to federal higway, behind carrefour and subang parade is housing a shopping complex, is that true ???

never passed there anymore for ages, but beginning it looked like an office building to me.
and how many shopping centers would one need and build in a rather small subang/USJ area ???

tried uncle google and did not find any new shopping center in subang.

so is there really a new shopping complex there and , lf yes, what is it called?

    could someone enlighten me please

    thanks

The name is "Empire Gallery" ... across the road from the Petaling District Land office. On the Federal highway, you should see it clearly as it has a distinct wavy pattern facade on the exterior wall of its multi-story carpark. I believe most of its units are for SOHO concept.

If anyone have more info, please correct me ... I only report what little I could see as I drive in from the Fedral highway.

Yeah! Save me from paying hefty parking charges to Subang Parade...... well, I'm just hoping this Empire Mall will have a more reasonable and modern parking system.

You can read more about it from the Star online at:

    http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.as...35&sec=central

Heard that one of the key tenants will be Fitness First or one of those type of outlets.

    chilli's? yippee

saw on the windows that itallianies are opening there, and a job ad by madam kwan for their new outlet in empire.

it'll be nice if they can link up empire, subang parade and carrefour.

Yes, it would be .... BUT I don't think Subang Parade will want to link up with a rival and have their patrons cross over esp when most of the shops are "competing" in their products and services offerings .... and likewise I don't think EMpire would want their patrons to cross over also ...... Old Town is already at the corner shop. Im thinking that SS16 is going to become another cafe hangout with lots of students and young professionals.

Ive also noticed that Subang Parade is slowly moving 'upscale' from where it was in 2005...look at the number of watch shops and jewellery shops increasing.

Also noticed that Carrefour is getting a paint job - changing from the pink tone to a dark grey that matches Subang Jaya afternoon skies during the monsoon season!

    Cheers, m
