Zing, you'll be surprised by Tony Warren, the Tom Jones of Malaysia. I've watched him sing before on stage and he does sound like Tom Jones. I don't know if he does shows abroad but locally yes. He and his band used to perform at Old Skool pub...same row with Jln Gasing "Ngar-choy-kai"...possibly does stints there still. Jan, you know?

It is not unusual for anyone to sound like Tom Jones. But it is surely unusual for anyone do this unsual singing and twisting like Tom Jones age. The one guy who can come close to it is Robbie Williams where gals throw knickers at both of them.

Elvis was known as a pussy cat king for Chinese. Maybe, that is why Tom Jones came up with What's new pussy cat which topped the chart.
Whilst talking to one old American, he recounted when he first heard Tom Jones over the radio those days back, he thought the singer was Black! Great fan of Tom Jones ever since.

Its not embarassing... its only expected. We can have a Tan Sri Dato Seri fella sitting in the front row who doesn't even know anyone except Elvis and do not even appreciate music but pays RM1,000 for a front row "to be seen". At the recnt Celine Dion do, it was the same, I actually heard one man telling his wife (and they were in the front few rows!) telling his wife in Cantonese... "is she a new singer, wah her voice very good lah, where is she from?". Sheesh!
