Touched' and Gone?

I was using my smarttag fitted with the touch and go card.

I had a balance of 9.70 after passing thru the 1st tollgate at Sungai Besi. When i reached the second tollgate(exit), the pole refused to let me out.

So i honk and the attendand came.. she checked and my balance were all gone.. RM0.00 . How could this be? Luckily RM 9.70 only BUT, the system is real ****T..

When i approached the officer, they couldn't do anything but instead told me to go to their HQ, Faber towers.

I read the Star and there is this guy who faced the same stupid problem...

anyone encountered this??

Well,

I remember that there is something like if the value is low, the deposit that we paid will kick in and pay the balance, when we top up again, it will be deducted ... or when you return the card, this balance will be deducted before refund is issued...

Or this "security" was never implemented in Malaysia in the first place and I am mistakenly take the promise by some other operators in other country and thought it is Malaysia?

I know Singapore was doing that once upon a time, don't know how about now, Hong Kong is still practicing that on their Octopus card ...

But, I am sorry for you, Luke, and thank God it is only 9.70. Anyway, where was your exit point then?
