If your office observes Sunday as rest day, then Tuesday (16/2) will be a replacement for your office. If not, then no replacement will be given.

Tuesday is an official holiday in replacement for CNY on Sunday.

Where have you been Franky? Didn't you know that if a public holiday falls on a Saturday, it is not replaced? I don't know the real reason why but I suspect it is because Saturday is also a working day for a lot of people ans so, how can you declare a replacement holiday for those who are not working on Saturday while there is probably a large group of people who do work on Saturdays? Get my drift?

Public holiday on Sat., it depends on one's company. As for mine, 1 day leave is added to our leave entitlement. Ihis year, there's about 6 days of PH on Saturday.

This is general practice in most MNCs, the staff will get replacement on a day before or on Monday whenever there is holiday on Sat. This is because they are observing 5 days work week and they have worked extra hour during weekdays to cover for the Saturday half day taken away. As such, it is only fair that they are entitled to a replacement.

Some companies do give replacement (either the immediate working day or as an extra annual leave).

Thank you and same to Franky for the clarification ... therefore it is an internal arrangement but generally, it is not a common practice. It is not like replacement for public holidays that fall on Sundays where it is understood to be applied by most employers (with the exception of the northern states which have Friday-Saturday weekends)
