You've nicely caught the Auriga, Taurus and part of the Orion Constellations. Pretty handy, that 24mm lens.

anyway, this was taken on my trip to taiwan on the only clear night in the whole week. i knew you can identify some of the clusters...respect man. having said that, can tell me which is where?

lady, was about to ask you where the giants were....then I saw your other thread. The moon was a great inclusion, made all the diff to the pic.

Hi FT, not much of a moon these days but it is getting bigger for sure. Also much colder out there now.
I think i should print out the picture that u labeled so i wont be staring at the sky wondering what i'm looking at. I am sooooo clueless and can barely remember names.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't advise it...printing out a night sky photo on your inkjet will really, really drain your black ink!

one on the moon during the eclipse earlier this year......waited hours and donated lots of blood to the mossies for just a small shadow on the bottom left

There was a Mars-Moon conjunction last Thurday evening at 6.35 pm. Unfortunately I missed it, being stuck in the infamous Jalan Kewajipan/Summit crawl. Did you happen to have shot it?

This morning, at 6.10:18 am sharp, the ISS emerged out of the earth's shadow into the constellation of Scorpius, zoomed over my house and then crashed into the USJ10 Taipan skyline. While the Moon watched gleefully from the grandstand.
BTW, the Moon had a huge halo this morning. That overexposed white globe to the middle right is the halo with the moon lost inside!
Techspecs:- 1 minute exposure, ISO80, f/3.3, FL 25mm (35mm equivalent).

the sky is ok clear tonight and saw a big bright object just below west and quite low in the horizon. not many visible stars around it.
that bright object is at the bottom left of this pic
turned the camera to south and there are more faintly visible stars
got to remove those trees and street lights!!!!
