The link does not work. Anyway, this shop is in the middle and you can both corner coffee shops separated by a narrow road. Wong Soon Kee is well known for the wantan mee and nasi lemak as well as the lady's ngau lam mee. All of them are Hainanese. They have very good coffee too.

Oooh! You've a wife who likes to tease you? Good. Nothing's like a 'I tease you, you tease me' relationship.

Yesterday, I had 'char horfun-mein' at this Parkway restaurant in SS19. Someone recommended me. I must say it wasn't too bad.

The link worked then. Maybe it was removed? Anyway, I think I know the place. Should be able to find it. Thanks.

Middle of last week and the week before, I made a trip to KL via KTN commuter to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, thereon to Pudu (via Star LRT) to the electronics haunts to shop around.
My lunch was at the new? Sithique Nasi Kandar restaurant. I believe this is their 3rd (they moved n moved till now permanent restaurant site in that area. They're now located at the back portion of former ODEON cinema premise/building at Jalan Dang Wangi/Campbell. I was thrilled to spot them there since I don't go to that area very often. The Nasi Kandar was great!!!...the same as I've eaten at that place decades before. The quality is still the same and spotted 3 familiar faces there (owner & probably partners) who are in the same job. Price have obviously increased slightly. Great to find they're there permanently. The ayam kicap (identifiable by chicken piece in black gravy) IS my top choice to eat. Oh how I do vividly remember ODEON cinema in its heyday and all the classic movies shown there. Odeon was owned by the Cathay film organization up to the 80's.
Alternatively, Restoran Kopitiam Capital, a traditional Hailam owned kopitiam (opposite Sogo complex) is my other top choice to eat the Nasi Padang/Minang. Food is the same, obviously price also gone up and can be as pricy, nevertheless the food is EXCELLENT taste, probably among the best Nasi Padang in Klang Valley. I didn't try the Rojak which I believe its the exact same rojak that was a hallmark during the good ole days. To my tastebuds, Subang rojak or any found here is HUGELY DISTANT from the old recipe, which AFAIK, only TWO with same recipe exist in KL, including at this kopitiam. The kopitiam owner spotted me and came out to greet me because I was a familiar face from those days... he said " How come I didn't come for so long time?"...and some conversation continued. Some recognition...hahaha!. Unfortunately, the kopitiam still looks very old and somewhat unkempt, hygiene still a questionmark, but its the food offered, from Nasi Padang to Rojak/mee rebus to halal tai chow that the place is never short of customers at peak lunch hour. This place is really a heritage site..
I'll always enjoy a good lunch whenever I'm at Jalan TAR... hard to choose between the two places above.

Had nasi lemak from the SS13 flats, roadside Pak Chik. Lucky me he came late and so still had some left for me. Usually he finishes early.

Skipped breakfast. Went for brunch at DeHappyland. Chap-fan, washed down with kopi-ais. The chicken fried in salted egg batter is good, I must say.
