Was at Jalan TAR from afternoon. Good day..less people around shopping unlike pre festive where its like shopping frenzy.
My usual diet of the best Nasi Padang in the area.. Capital Cafe, opposite Sogo complex. Although the price per plate have increased by some percentage due to obvious reasons, its still worth every penny..can't find better taste for miles around. Every grain of rice and lauk walloped down. Best time to be there before 1pm, better still before 12 noon..otherwise place packed at lunchtime.

Was at De Happyland to take away chicken rice but saw something that made me recoil in horror. The man was chopping chopping chopping. A woman from behind came, asked for some receipts or other. He stopped the chopping, and in one swift move, opened a dirty drawer filled with rubbishy stuff like receipt books, pieces of paper, etc and started rummaging through it with his greasy hands like his life depended on it!! Failing to find the item, he returned to the chopping board to continue his work. No, he did NOT wash his filthy hands! The woman kept asking for what it was she was asking. Our friend stopped again to resume looking for the item in the dirty drawer! He found it this time! YAHOO! And promptly returned to the chopping board. No, he DID NOT wash his hands. In the next second, his soiled hands landed on a nice piece of charsiew as he started to chop away. I left, aghast and quite speechless.

Had wantan mee at Tek Kee Noodle House. Not the best around but ok. Prefer the one next to one Dr. Tan in Taipan. I believe it's known as Leong Kee.

...in USJ14, may I add. Scary how bloody unthinking these hawkers can be. He didn't look Malaysian. Probably Vietnamese.

Chicken rice, take away style, at corner coffee shop in USJ 2, sold by mother daughter team. Not the best but better than most. And no, the food handler did not rummage her hands through a drawer of rubbishy stuff.

Well, how about those people who think toilet paper is rocket science and too hi-tech to handle….. and they prefer to use their bare hands to wash their “disposal department’.. !!

And do you seriously and confidently think they will wash their hands, every finger of their hands before they start to squeeze the roti canai and whatever apanama stuff that served to you !!
