p/s Interestingly, for 13days, I was in 1 equally developing country and 1 very third world eating by roadside stalls (even on the matted-ground some more!), shoplot restaurants etc, never once i got the 'Run'...

Then back home safely, sekali only at a aircon terra designer restaurant (with scurrying foreign workers), i kena the 'run'! Pelik tapi Benar!

    Tupai,

All coffeeshops in Msia are about the same standard in hygiene IMHO - all almost B or C by MPSJ rating. But I understand if some readers are more concerned whilst there are other more reckless ones like me whose main priorities are good and cheap As long as the place looks decent - PASS !

Had curry mee at Wong Sung Kee SS14. Not bad but not that great too. I still prefer the one at SS13, facing the NPE. Cheap and good.

Had Lychee fried rice in MyElephant at Section 17. Decent food and environment. Healthy too as brown rice is used for the fried rice.

Be a more responsible citizen lah... don't patronize those outlets that has been identified by MPSJ as unhygienic. Apollo Restaurant in USJ has been sealed by MPSJ weeks ago and still operating and what have they done to improve? Nothing! And only if we residents are more discreet and discerning and only go to those at least B rating and above, with no records of being sealed, then the education process of these operators can improve!

Go talk to the hawkers there and they will tell you that Apollo will be sealed 2-3x per year by MPSJ every year around certain festival times - only problem is none will step forward to talk to MACC (scared of being thrown off the 15th Floor of Plaza Masalam Shah Alam and then look for Prontip) - if you know what I mean .... in that context ..... less said by me is better as I only repeat hearsay ....and the regular patrons all know about these .... since none will step forward .... no proof, no case ..... for fear of "permanent closure" by MPSJ !!

This is also the last posting I will write about hygiene of Apollo and I state my sympathies with the hawkers there trying to earn a living ....

Why depend on MPSJ, when were they experts on health? What yardstick do they use? i assume malaysians are not so concerned on the cleaniness of the resturant, they are blind when coming to eating.

BTw i have seen very clean resturants which get C ratings

    Firefox,

The answer to your questions is: MPSJ Hawker Trading Licence - no licence issued, no trading allowed.

As patrons , of course, none of us are blind, we know and keep our eyes open, and we judge by ourselves the level of hygiene and standard that we are comfortable with but this is Msia, a boleh-land full of licences !! I used B and C, cos almost all the coffeeshops that I have eaten in the last 10 years in Klang Valley, from spotless clean to downright filthy are all rated B or C - I have never seen an A or a D yet !!

And when licences and businesses get mix ... you know the outcome ....
in semua-boleh-land - as far as businesses are concern, "it" is another operating COST !! I do not condone BUT I cannot be self-righteous in telling others what to do when they have no options ......

Visited Bkt Tinggi Jusco today. Very spacious and nice to walk around. Had lunch with a friend from Klang at Windmill. Steak was so-so only but the ambience is much better than in SJaya.

Btw, they have nice bread shop called Lavendar. Bought a loaf of bread at RM3.80 which is not expensive comparing to Gardenia.

Loved to walk around this mall as not congested like in Sunway Pyramid or Midvalley (car parks aplenty). Bet will clear my mind of things when I want to be along. Will patronise there again soon
