    UNGRATEFUL sob!

My friend's company after a decade of ethical business operations, with 110% of staff welfare close to heart, and ZERO mgmt-staff dispute, is now being advised by the Perak industrial court to attend a hearing.

An idiot of a staff who broke the company's SOP in field work, had injured his ankle. SOB was on paid medical leave for more than 3months and was subsequently asked to leave as the employment policy signed by both parties had allowed for such action. The SOB was also given a 3 month compensation as a gratitude for 1yr of service plus the HR dept extended all the assistence needed for insurance & socso claims...

Then this (*&&^%$#@!F$#@! SOB kacang lupa kulit dared to ask for 12 mths compensation for being laid off, and when rejected, filed an industrial court action...

Such kacang lupa kulit needed to be taught a lesson. My friend , upon my advice will now fight this case eye for eye tooth for tooth...

That ungrateful SOB wasnt even an executive staff!

If you have such a case, What would you do?

Best IR lawyer in town and take him to the laundry, bro! Play the postponement and delay game until the case drags on 3-4 years before first hearing... drain him financially and emotionally...

And then for the finale, beat him in the case and seek costs as well....

Usually, Industrial court favors the lay off person. It is better to have a settlement in the Industrial Court.

Not true... it is such only when both parties have equal chance. If a worker uses Sect 20(d) of the Employment Act to whack the employer, he will suffer more...
