Are you sure the 'relevant authority' browse thru usj.com.my?

Im guessing u mean the Works Minister, Shaziman? Actually, one MPSJ councillor told me yesterday that he is going to browse usj.com.my regularly. I said, wonderful, just dont do what our former ADUN did Then I explained the banana and ban system

On the other hand...today I used the NKVE and Subang Airport Road and Metropolitan roundabout like I do every day ... traffic was almost non-existent.

No slowing traffic at the D'sara interchange, less congestion at the interchange with the federal highway...and the roundabout was clear!!!!!

It was like a Sunday morning except it was at 8:10-8:20 this morning~!

    Cheers, m

Of course everyone would like it that way when the schools are on holiday and our muslim friends including you may have balik kampong last night.

I don't know if removing both turning right into J Kewajipan from Kesas would ease the congestion as it is still unknown whether the crossroad junction at Kewajipan/Murni would be able to respond to these fast changing traffic volume . Unless and adaptive traffic controller is installed there isn't much hope here as I see it...

err...here and again the problem at kewajipan kesas interchange must be tackel together with the giant interchange.
At jalan Tujuan, MPSJ did change the timing at Tujuan ss19 junction ( I wonder why no Lick Hung ppl complain) hence u see less jam at tujuan, but during peak hour 7-8am u still get backlog of cars jamming up that road occasionally.
Kewajipan giant ic pose a different story as the volume of cars are much much higher, this will be a bigger challenge for our brilliant brains at mpsj than tujuan.

    my jam sense

The metropolitan roundabout have more vehicle now as some will exit the link via the SDMC slipway. Since the roundabout is gridlocked , none would be able to turn right to ss15.

I did notice from SS19 that the traffic on Kesas highway turning right to summit at the Kesas interchange from Shah Alam is low.
Has the traffic light timing being twiddle to give more time to this than kewajipan...?

What has happen to the claim , if my memory not failing me yet , by Kesas that they have the most advance traffic control system when the Kesas highway open... ?
The root of the problem is the cost cutting by kesas by having traffic lighted junction at kewajipan/kesas interchange instead of having the four-clover nonstop design interchange a la Northsouth/NKVE highways.

Tujuan and Kewajipan should have "no right turns" policy (with exception of long trailers and long lorries only) for the junctions like kesas interchange/ss19 junction; and have u-turns ahead of the road. I believe if most of the usj ppl can go straight/turn left faster (to go home), when they are able to park their cars at home the jam would be lessened..simply because the straight-flow rate in the evenings, is close to nil.

When straight flow cannot move.. jam happens cos alot of ppl passing by kewajipan do not actually live in USJ, hence they cannot just "go home, park the car" cos they do not live in USJ. (passing thru to goto putra heights/puchong area)

Your thought is too rigid in the sense that when face with a problem , most probably , wouldn't bother to give a thought and find a solution.

KL is a big city and she needs a few new multi-storey fly-overs in the metro.

hehhahaha full agreement...by 5 minutes Im at the NKVE, by 15 minutes Im at Subang Airport rd, and by 20 minutes Im at work.

Sadly the design of the toll plazas are horrible for motorcycles.

I looked for road flyovers when I was in London, couldnt find any in the metro area. Same thing in Toronto...none in the metro area except along the elevated expressway that they want to remove.

There ARE double lines but I observe that most drivers dont care two hoots. Our roads have become a jungle..not only here but everywhere else!

Maybe they don't understand what double-line means on the road??? Beats me... strange drivers on the road...

Just this afternoon, I was driving fast in a nephew's highly modified 320bhp Subaru STi from Bayan Lepas Airport towards Georgetown along the Sultan Azlan Shah coastal highway and a Wira-lution was chasing me as though he could catch me... strange drivers on the road nowadays...

Here we need barriers to prevent vehicles from crossing over the lane. Even then some of the flimsy poles are knocked down by lorries and 4WDs

In India, they had put up low concrete barriers where double lines used to be with very bad results - motorists who have the habit of ignoring double-lines continue to cross the double line zones with deadly results because their cars ran into those low barriers and some of the accidents were fatal !

The "flimsy" rubber poles are meant to yield when hit to prevent dangerouse fatalities when hit by blur-sotong drivers. I support their installation because life is at stake. By no means remove those - MPSJ is doing the right thing altho the uneducated drivers run over them

We have to be aware that we have a lot of kopi-O drivers in our midsts - people who cross double lines, and I bet a lot of them also do not know which side of the road can cross a zone where you have a semi-double line - one where you see solid and broken line together.

Then there are people who don't read road signages - such as no entry, one-way street, ...you get the idea la.
