oops! Thanks for pointing that out. Yes, the Xchange is today (Sunday, 18/12) at 3-5pm.

It will be the last one for this year and the next Bk Xchange will most likely be held on the 1st Sunday of February 2012.

Today's session is more of a friendly gathering for all who have been coming to our Bk Xchange and other residents of SJ/USJ who, I hope, will be able to join us.

You can still exchange books today. Even if you do not have any books to exchange, dont fret about it. We allow you to borrow up to 2 books to bring home to enjoy.

We would also like to wish all our friends, a MERRY XMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.

    Thank you ....

Looking back at the photos we have taken over the years, I am amaze at how big the BEP book collection has grown.

This was the total sum of books as @ year end of 2010: BEP3.jpg

We have these as at May 2011 : May 2011.jpg

THANK YOU....for your generosity, your support in the participation & help in keeping this program alive.

We are glad to have Mr James Yap, a fellow resident, volunteering to do storytelling for children at our book exchange. Your kids will be in good hands while you browse. Storytelling.jpg Dont be shy to have a cuppa of coffee/tea with other book lovers, too.

See you this coming Sunday, 15/1/12 at 3:00-5:00pm.

Have just gotten an email from MPSJ saying that they need the hall this Sunday, 5/2/2012. So, the Exchange is cancelled for this coming Sunday.

The next book exchange will be on 19th Feb.

hi there! i'm looking forward to the next book exchange on 19/2 and will bring some books for exchange and some for give-aways.

by the way, just wanted to ask all you book enthusiasts whether anyone has visited the Book Clearance sale at Subang Avenue which is running from 10/2-19/2? (Refer www.bigbookshop.blogspot.com) i'm wondering whether they have a good range of children's books e.g. Enid Blyton, Odonata series at low prices? i have 2 young kids so it's a little tricky for me to go shopping unless i'm sure that it's worthwhile.

Hi, Fledgeling...looking forward to your joining us on 19/2.

I went to the sale this afternoon. The selection on fiction is not too bad but not many on self-help books. Crowd is very minimal which make browsing & paying a breeze! There are lots of Enid Blyton books ($7 ea) & a good selection of other children books. If you have very young kids, they will like the pop-out books. Very colourful & easy to read.

For those kids reading the "Peter & Jane" series in kindy, they are going for $7 as well. If I'm not mistaken, bookshops or kindy are selling them for $10-$11 each.

Besides books, managed to get a few good quality shopping bags at $3/pc, too. Yeah, I think it is worth a visit
