The Case Of The Missing Jalur Gemilang

Can't help but notice the Jalur Gemilang is missing from homes and cars this year! we are just 11 days away from celebrating the "N" Day. What happened to the mood?

I have put up the Malaysian flag and the Penang state flag flying on the front fence since last week replacing the Lewis Hamilton / MacLaren flag for the timebeing...

I love my country. Its not the same as loving the situation of the economy or the politics.

    We still love our country

We love our country but all that political turmoil is not helping us to celebrate that auspicious day. The present BN leaders have forgotten what Tun H.S.Lee, Tun V.T. Sambanthan dan Tunku Abdul Rahman have strived for. Most people are not feeling very joyous to display our flag in celebration but in our hearts we still love this country of our birth (although some of us are called pendatang). So, can you blame people?

I choose not to put up the flag this year cos don't feel like it for various reasons. That does not make me less patriotic.

Instead of giving out free flag and car stickers... how about free mask and sanitizer?

I've decided not to go out too often, especially any merdeka celebrations of any sort where there's a large gathering. NOpe..not this year... H1?
I've even decided not to go pasar ramadan too often either. Home cooked food, save money too.

I have mine for the past few years already and never even once out of the plastic bag.

Saving it for the day when we are free from the colonialism of you-know-who for the past 52 years.

Well, its not really free. Unless you don't pay any taxes, then its really free. We're all paying for it, one way or the other.
