I'm still studying at SMK Seafield.....Except the PIBG Rm50,even for a carnival day ,the teacher demanded a minimum budget of RM2300 which require every student to pay RM50.A class 45 student=40xrm50... IS about RM2000!!! The teacher expect to spend RM2000 on a food stall and a game corner???? What is this man
    A old-thinking youngster

i was in one of the similar PIBG meeting in Feb this year, if i have not heard wrongly some of PIBG expenses highlighted by CCY will go to PIBG bank account and some to School account. The differerence is the school acount fees will be reported in the PIBG annual meeting.

Again i may be wrong, but will get clarification next PIBG meeting next year. THe non comittee member will not have any access or update to development until next year?

As bslee pointed out... Poor parents still have to fork out...or force out their hard earn cash for the running of a government school...!

I have a kid in SMK Subang Utama. They ask for RM50 and force my kid to sell RM50 worth of tickets for fun fair vouchers.

I have another one in Lick Hung, so far no notice of PIBG funding and no fun fair tickets.

Kindly read the notice again, if I am not mistaken, it reads RM50 per family. Anyway, if there are any doubts on the accounts or how the PIBG funds are utilised, please attend the PIBG meetings to find out. Or better still, volunteer your services so that you have first hand insights on what goes on in the PIBG. I was in SMK Seafield PIBG committee some years ago and I must say the PIBG financed a lot of improvements and facilities for the school including even paying salaries for temporary teachers. It is most unfortunate but true, even 'government funded' schools do not get their fair share of the allocated budget.

All parents should participate in the PIBG, especially during the AGM. If you did not attend then you cannot raise objections when the PIBG tells you to "donate" RM50. For all schools, the PIBG is supposed to help the school to carry out a lot of activities for the benefit of the students. However, there are PIBGs which have a different agenda. So, practise your right as a parent and attend the PIBG meetings when asked to do so.

I thought 2 years ago, that Education Minister said that these fees should be optional and parents should not be made compulsory? What happened to the free education?

    1. Kertas Ujian ...........................RM20 - too much

    3. Yuan Sukan tahunan.................RM10 - should be provided by the government
    4. Kegiatan pendidikan islam atau pen. moral.......RM10 - why?
    5. MSSM.............................................. ........RM4 - Government is willing to pay so much just to train a few persons in sports, why need money from parents for MSSM!!!

    8. Sumbangan PIBG..........................................RM50 - depend on what the students get from this.

I understand the school has good collection of books. If you want to get your money worth, get your children to borrow more books, join more activities. I think this school is better (from parents' feedbacks)in school activities than at least 3 other SMK in USJ.

Is it just a coincidence that 3 schools or maybe more are having rm50 as sumbangan Pibg ....? Would that figure be different if each school have different 'projects planned for the good of the student'....?

Or..or... It is just 'get the money first , then work out what to do with it later ...and ensure that all will be spent year after year'

When you want to get some info on what the kutipan is for....
The usual answer given was that if you want to find out what it is use for ...go attend and get involve in the Pibg meeting....

Isn't it that the parents are paying the $$$ and why is it that difficult to have a note through the student for the parents like what they have , asking for the sumbangan ...and other fees....??

Just received the shocker of a compulsory RM50 worth of coupons for the schools carnival.....
Hmmmmm....If this is not freaking daylight extortion in these hard economic times....I don't know what it is....!!!!.

    Got this for Smk12.....
    A) Sumbangan PIBG RM50.00
    Jumlah RM50.00

    B) Program Permantapan Akademik
    1. Pelajar Tingkatan 3 & 5 RM30.00

It is interesting to note that the only way to find out what's happening in PIBG is via the AGM.Once a year only?

When Lick Hung launches the building fund, it puts up a notice in the school with details of how much is collected, spending details, balance, etc. No need to wait for PIBG AGM lah.

Err buddy CCY...that's only the small part of Orchi's much bigger headaches...
Another little Orchi is still in Chee Wen Primary School...
He has a bigger appetite than his elder siblings...

At the fast slumping rate of World's economy...
Orchi might have to end up queuing before the unemployment line...soon.

I don't agree with you! After the RM4.2 mil building was launch they didn't put the donors name (min. 1K) in the building but they put the name of a donor RM100K in the hall.Is it fair to the RM4 mil donors. The building was not sublet to outsiders for kenduri or badminton courts, reason -dirty the place.! Do you know it's income to the school man!

CCY, you forgot the payment for yearly school magazine. If I am not wrong, the 2006 edition was in full colour and cost RM12 each. Last year's edition printed in B&W and still costs the same....hmm forgot to ask at the PIBG meeting.
