Is Puchong Hartamas a good place to buy a double storey house?

My in-law are thinking of getting a double storey house in Puchong Hartamas, this housing estate is next to Bandar Puteri Puchong. As you know old folks value a quiet and safe neighbourhood and enviroment so that they can go for early morning walk without fear for their safety. They ask me for my opinion whether this is a right place for them. Since I don't have any friend staying there, I wish to ask for the nice Usj peoples here for your kind opinion about this Puchong Hartamas. All I know about this place is that they are freehold and price start from something like RM99k for a apartment up to RM500k plus for a decent double storey house with a build up area of 2625 sq feets. Thats all that I know.

Any comment and suggestion are wellcome. Thank you for your time.

    Hi Erino,

NO place is safe now. Taxpayers have to pay extra money to stay in gated and/or guarded community (this does not mean is absolute safe also). Please spend an evening driving in USJ, SJ or Puchong and witness the security guard houses that mushrooming in these area.

Maybe, a safer way is to stay in a condo and walk around the garden/park inside the condo.

If old folks really want to have morning/evening walk, please advice them to walk in group.

    Cheers

Puchong hartamas is quite far off from KL.

Every area around greater KL (include puchong, usj) etc are dangerous due to lots of foreign workers.

last time I checked there were about 25 million Malaysians in Malaysia. So how can it be that the country is being "overrun" by only 2 million foreigners?

"overrun" doesn't necessarily means "outnumber" what i mean is is "to invade, to cause harm, to ravage"

yeah, we know what you mean

I hear there are a lot of foreigners overrunning the Ampang area too. Also Jalan Bukit Bintang.

How close would Puchong Hartamas be to the new LRT extension? It is going through Kinrara past the IOI Mall.

It might be a short bus ride or a short drive away which would be a nice thing to have.

There is a cemetery (hidden with tall bushy trees) next to the playing field.

It doesn't have the "wow" feeling when you drive into it, as you need to pass some small factory on the way.
