    Macro Shots

Jantung Pisang (Do you call this Banana Flower?)

I am learning how to take macro shots. Just learnt it during our recent photography outing. Tell me what you think of this photo and I welcome tips on how it can be improved.

Let me try to post this again with a smaller photo. See if it works.

To view the photo that I posted earlier in a bigger mode, please click on the link. I am not certain why I have this problem lately. This is already the 2nd time that the photo embedded is not visible.

Funny, the now-you-see it, then-you-don't symptom only happen recently.

I need to click on #1's photo that lead me to the photo posted on Picasa, then click 'back' to the thread and I can view the #1 photo again. I prefer the photo to be posted in bigger pixel, it looks nicer....but sorry lah, it seems like things are having hiccups lately.

Welcome, welcome. More photos, more we can learn.

How did you get the minuscule white thingy (pollen?) sharp? May I ask what kind of lens do you use? Mine usually can't get such minuscule object sharp.

Just a Sigma 105 on my trusty E-330. it's a 1:1 magnification. Sometimes you need to increase the aperture to have a sharper picture.

Don't think they are pollen. It could be the Stigma of the flower.

My macro does not seem very macro. More like close-up.
