    Early morning see critter's digestive juices, i dont think i hv any appetite for breakfast already. :P

    Great shots as usual Mick. So amazing that you hv such a variety of bugs to shoot. siigh.. i dont see anything nice here. That's the result of being near the desert.

    Little fella just shed its exoskeleton not long ago coz i saw it hanging at my rosemary plant where this fella is hanging around.

    geeesh... what is that? Any idea what it is called? It seems to hv the mouth of a ladybug but the rest of it sure is strange.

    For something less strange.. A Cucumber beetle.

    For some reason, the body of this bee reminds me of tiger prawns.

    Nope.. not sleeping. It moves here and there but remains inside the flower. All the other bees pass by and poke their nose in but fly off immediately.
    Seems to be the style some of the bees. They just sit in the flower for a long time.. move here and there a bit but won't leave. The flowers bloom only for a few hours in the morning then by almost noon, they all close.
    Today's bee is a bit scruffy looking. Looks kinda worn out.

    .... and basically this is what it looks like when it sits in the flower.. no extension tube used to take this pic. Just to hv an idea what the squash blossom looks like.

    And this is what it looks like at almost noon. Blossoms closed. If you look carefully, u can see a golden egg squash on the right. I hv to bend over that wire fence to take pics of the bee in the flower. The wire fence pokes upwards and my face is basically by the pointed ends of it, in between the wires.
