How much is your teh tarik?

Hi.. i just got back from the Mamak in USJ9 which name i shall not mention. I know with the economic situation that things are not going to be easy and of course price of food/drinks are surely to rise.

Heres the issue, just a month back(was the last time i went to a mamak) a simple cuppa teh tarik would be at RM1 at another mamak in SS15 but in USJ9 yesterday, it was .30sen extra. How does it warrant such a jump? I don't know but i did mention that it was expensive to the cashier (presuming that he's the boss) and was given an angry looking face that coupled with a disgrunted answer "expensive ah?" which I then nodded and just walked off as i finish paying.

i think it's time we went to a mamak that charges good prices. So, how much is your teh tark??

Normally I take Teh 'O', cost me RM1 or RM1.10.

Was having tea in Chinese kopitiam in Kinrara with my client. He ordered hot Teh 'O' with lime, me kopi and lor mai kai. Totalled RM5.80!!! Lor Mai Kai cost RM2.80!
If not me, who? If not now, when?

Lor Mai Kai costs 2.90 a piece at the newly opened Tai Thong Restaurant in USJ3C, so yours was a bargain compared to mine. And the other day I was having TT at AYC USJ4, I was charged 1.00. When I went back the next day, they charged me 1.20. I asked why the 20sen hike??? The boss said worker charged me short the previous day.
I was just reminiscing those days when TT costs 0.80. Why should they raise the price?

just had TT the other day at Nathan;s corner. Dunno anyone of you know where it is. OG Heights go further in, cross the bridge over Kesas. They only charged me one ringgito.

Honestly, the food there is really good. The "problem chicken" is really mouth-watering. They are open 24H
